Daily Miscellany
Thoughts and flashes of brilliance that enter my head from nowhere.
Enjoy. Or abhor, depending on the effect of my "wisdom".
I really don't mind when my dog comes to sit in front of me when I am sitting on the toilet. I, of course, pet her as she knows I am a human trapped on that weird bathroom thing and my hands have nothing better to do than rub her head.
So I do.
.............................
Speaking of pets, I used to use Chewy.com to order my pet food. I am older nowadays and pet food is way cheaper if purchased in bulk. But bulk is heavy, such as 40 pounds of cat litter.
For a couple of deliveries it worked well. Until the day I went out to my car and there, in the middle of my driveway, in the pouring rain, sat my Chewy order.
I had no choice but to get it inside right away. The Fedex driver evidently left my order there. Even though, I write angrily, my covered front porch is only about ten-twelve feet from where the Fedex guy left my stuff.
I did tell Chewy about it and they said I should have called them (I'd gotten three prior orders delivered to my front door by Fedex so why not this time?) and they would have made the Fedex guy come back and do it right.
But like I said, it was raining. Do you know what rain does to clumping cat litter?
For now I'll not use Chewy again even if it wasn't their fault.
That was horrible having to carry those packages further than if I would have purchased them from the store and unpacked them myself.

This should be interesting.

Black Voters Turn Their Backs on Mike Bloomberg During Church Service
This is an old story but this incident was pretty much the mark of the end of the Bloomberg candidacy.
This horrible, snotty man was not liked by anyone, no matter how many millions he wasted.

Congregants of a historically black church in Selma, Alabama, turned their backs on Democrat presidential hopeful Mike Bloomberg on Sunday as he addressed them.
The protest, which remained silent and peaceful, took place as Bloomberg was giving a speech on the 55th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” a day when police attacked black citizens during a civil rights march in the town.
Several images shared to social media on Sunday showed both black and white voters standing with their backs turned to Bloomberg in Selma’s Brown Chapel AME Church.

‘Missing the mark’: Ex-Warren staffers face outrage over campaign tattoos eerily similar to Holocaust concentration camp numbers
This is a more recent story about the silliness of tattoos that look as if concentration camp marks.
Why would anyone do such a thing?
A big reason, perhaps, why Warren went nowhere.
https://www.rt.com/usa/482790-warren-staffers-holocaust-tattoos/
Former staffers for Elizabeth Warren have been taken to the woodshed over tattoos meant to
memorialize her ill-fated campaign – which just happen to closely resemble markings given to Holocaust concentration camp prisoners. Oops!
Intending to commemorate the Democratic senator’s failed bid for the presidency, at least two former Warren staffers thought tattoos displaying the hex code for the campaign’s “Liberty Green” theme would be a clever tribute – until Twitter caught wind of it. In an avalanche of criticism, netizens wasted no time in pointing out the obvious – albeit accidental – reference to Nazi atrocities proudly displayed by the two ex-employees.

Democratic Primary Update: Andrew Yang endorses Biden for president: 'The math says Joe is our prohibitive nominee'
It was called "Super Tuesday 2" and Biden took the night.
As of this writing, Biden 823, Sanders 663, in terms of delegates to the Democratic convention per the top two candidates.
Below the list of who won which state:
Minnesota Biden
Idaho Biden
Michigan-Biden
Missouri, Biden
North Dakota Sanders
Washington, Sanders
Mississippi, Biden
It looks like the upcoming November 2020 election is going to be former VP Joe Biden vs. President Trump.
Biden does not have a chance.
Write that down because I told you so.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/andrew-yang-endorses-biden-president
Andrew Yang became the latest former 2020 candidate to announce their endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden.
"I believe that Joe Biden will be the Democratic nominee and I've said I was always going to support whoever the nominee is. I hereby am endorsing Joe Bien to be not just the nominee of Democratic party, but for the next president of the United States," Yang told a CNN panel on Tuesday night.
Yang, who became a CNN commentator after withdrawing from the 2020 race in February, said he previously supported Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in 2016, calling him an "inspiration" and encouraged his own presidential bid, but said "the math says Joe is our prohibitive nominee."
