5/8/21-Romney booed at Republican convention; Fly on Wall tells plan for the future of television.

Yes I am compiling a Blog about the great pandemic of 2020 and how my country stupidly shut down the economy.  We will have opinions, political and cultural highlights, my personal experience, social media details, even TV reviews since I watch so much TV while in my home jail.  We shall, as always, end with a smile.

Lots of Issues on Voting Matters in last election; Caitlyn Jenner

I remind yon descendants that Caitlyn Jenner was a product of my era.  They might remember him/her as a once Governor of California but Jenner, I remind yon descendants, was once an Olympic champion and began life as a male.

As of this writing Jenner is beginning his/her campaign for Governor of California.  I listen to all the news broadcasters call Jenner a SHE and I shake my head.  HE is a HE and that will never change.

But hey, I guess it doesn't hurt anybody to refer to a genuine HE as SHE just because he/she wants it that way.

We'll watch this election campaign closely.

There's been a lot of "quiet" headlines about the recount of various states in the 2020 election. Maricopa county, Arizona is one such quiet headline.  There's been serious research and concern over Georgia's election, Pennsylvania's and Michigan's.

There's serious problems with that election and here's hoping it's all cleared up and fixed for honesty by the time yon descendants will be voting.

MAJOR CULTURE EVENTS OF THE WEEK

Romney Booed at Utah GOP Convention

Mitt Romney got booed off the state and the Utah GOP convention.

Liz Cheney is not doing too well either.

Darn if Lindsay Graham hasn't gone public and admitted that the voters want Trump, not the likes of Romney, Cheney.  Add Collins from Maine, Murkowski from Alaska and a few others.

Hooray for sending Romney running in Utah.

PERSONAL NOTES FROM ME RE THE PANDEMIC
(that my descendants may know how I handled it)
Granddaughter must pay for own COVID test-$74.00

My granddaughter is 17 years old, due to turn 18 this coming December.  She will graduate from high school in June 2022.  Right now she attends school on the computer and works a lot of hours at McDonald's.

One night at work she got dizzy and management sent her home.  She had to get a Covid test.

She had to pay for the test.....$74.00.  That's about three days pay for her.

McDonald's couldn't pay for her test?  Her parents, both of them not quite right, have no health insurance for her?  In this America immigrants pour through our southern borders and their tests are free.  But a 17 year old adolescent born in this country has to pay for her own COVID test.

She had to have another test, not sure why.  THAT one was for free as she then had health insurance from McDonald's.

Both tests were negative.

REVIEWS TV SHOWS
(since I watch so much TV, not for my descendants)
"America's Funniest Home Videos"

It's my favorite TV show of them all but let's not pretend it is the epitome of intellectual viewing.

It's "America's Funniest Home Videos" and is on ABC, Sunday nights, 7pm.

One of the better things about this show is that it has the BEST host of any currently hosting these type of shows.  His name is Alfonso Roberto, he always looks nice and handles his job very well.  He does not get too political and handles questioning contenders very well.

Beyond that, let's be honest.  This is a show featuring video clips of Americans doing nutty things.  Might be people tumbling into the water, slamming into a fence, falling off of a bicycle.

The pet videos are the absolute best.  Dogs are not posing or are they fake.  Roberto calls it "The Dog Park".

The videos are submitted by folks like you and I and a gallery of producers choose the clips that would be featured in the show.  The audience will then vote for their favorites and the top three video clips are determined and lightly interviewed by Alfonso.  First place for a night wins ten thousand dollars and at year end all nightly winners are entered into a finale that will result in a one hundred thousand dollar  prize.

Love this show.

THE FLY ON THE WALL

Yes I am a fly and yes I also Blog.  I tend to wander around among the politicians and hear their conversation.  Because I am a fly beneficial to humanity, I share that which I hear. Bear in mind my spelling.  I am, after all, only a fly.

Meeting of the TV Producers

There have been a few of these meetings in the big building and since, even though I am a fly, I watch quite a bit of human TV I like to attend them..

Valeria, as always, was leading this meeting and this fly learned quite a bit about the intention to turn human TV into a teaching lesson for American humans.

The attendees at this meeting were television producers, including one of the more famous, the amazing Shonda Rhimes., creator of "Grey's Anatomy" and a few other shows.

"So we've written and televised the episode that has Jackson Avery taking over his family's foundation," Shonda said after meeting called to order by Valeria.  "He tells his mother that black people have always been mistreated in America and the series will go in that direction."

The other attendees leaned back and smiled.  This fly too had seen this show in this series' 17th season and it appears that the show will be used to show Americans what white supremacists they are.

"We have one Psychiatrist that is a homosexual and we televised our first episode with two men making mad love in bed on "New Amsterdam" and the public was cool about it," another producer said, evidently part of the team directing the "New Amsterdam" show."

"We got Perfect Pooch featuring all LBGT cutting and trimming dogs and their sexual proclivities are in no way hidden," shouted another producer and this fly smiled.  I do love the Perfect Pooch series although all the human contenders have weirdly colored hair.

"And we have a male couple as very much a part of our "Station 19" series," the producer of that series let us know.  "We've also had a male couple televised making love for the TV and no major complaints."

Valeria then stood up as she does to end the meeting.  "There are many more producers working up story lines featuring LGBQ couples and with white people being mean to black people, including cops."  Valeria cleared her dishes from around her and gave a small cough.

"We will have more producers next meeting but for now, know that our intent to use television drama to change the way America thinks is doing very well.  Americans won't get all nutty about seeing two men kissing and watching story lines that feature white groups as the real bad guys."

Valeria went out of the room and winked at the rest of the attendees who were busy clearng up their areas.  "Stay with us guys.  This is how you change the way America thinks."

And with a wink Valeria was out the door.

This fly can't wait until there are lots of new shows featuring the common housefly as the hero.
