Delaware's Most Interesting Election Result.

Delaware-Three Electoral Votes and Ready to Rumble

Nanny Minner Gets Another Four Years to Mess Up Delaware.

I realize with a deep profundity that I live in a Blue state.

Okay, I lived in a Blue state before in that Merryland is the state of my birth and life until last year.

But hey, even Merryland elected a Republican for Governor!

For no way were the citizens of Merryland going to elect Democrat nominee Kathleen Kennedy Townsend over Republican Governor Robert Ehrlich.

Well, okay, Ruth Minner IS the incumbent Governor whereby Townsend wasn’t. But her performance was pathetic in her first four years and now, hey, thank you Delawarians to the north. Believe that this woman could never carry Sussex county.

Biden Bits

Methinks this recent Republican email summarizes Hairplugs’ recent stupid remark. Especially that bit about thinking the Fraternal Order of Police were really smart when they endorsed him.

+++++
Wilmington, DE – State GOP Executive Director David A. Crossan issued the following statement in response to Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s reference to the Fraternal Order of Police’s rational for endorsing President Bush and Bill Lee as “Mindless”:

“Senator Biden’s remarks are disappointing, last week he called the President‘brain dead’ and this week he is referring to the F.O.P.’s rational as
“mindless”.

People should expect more out of someone who aspired to play
a leadership role in the United States.

This calls into question whether Senator Biden has the requisite diplomatic skills required for effective foreign affairs.

Could you imagine Colin Powell or Henry Kissinger saying these
sorts of things?

Senator Biden has enjoyed the F.O.P’s endorsement in
the past and thought they were just fine.”

..Speaking of Biden….

Who was allegedly due to be Secretary of State under a Kerry administration….

Governor Rendell of Pennsylvania suggested that Hairplugs might be the next Democratic nominee for President.

Here in Sussex county, we say ‘take him, please.’

Sussex County Rocks!

The biggest news springing forth from the recent Delaware election has to be the race for County Councilman for the third district, Sussex county.

Judd Nelson originally lost the election by twelve votes. After one recount, his opponent, Lynn Rogers, was up by two votes. After another recount, the two votes lead remained but reports are that some 26 absentee ballots are missing.

It would seem that Rogers won but so far, Nelson hasn’t conceded.

….Speaking of Rogers…..

Who is this Noble Prettyman who headed up what is called Sussex County’s ‘Republicans for Rogers’?

There is a William Prettyman down the road from me. He owns Homestead Campgrounds and is, I know personally, a Republican. He also intends to expand his campground by 72 sites which is interesting. I know this by a recent article stating same in the Delaware Coast Press.

For the county commission would have to approve such an action. But if William Prettyman is related to Noble Prettyman who said he is a Republican for Rogers, well isn’t this sort of a conflict of interest?

After composing this missive, I did some more investigation and discovered that Noble Prettyman is a black man while William Prettyman is a white man. Which doesn't mean they're not related but probably not.

Still, such an odd name and such a coincidence.

Okay, All of Delaware Needs to Stop Tipping the Justices of the Peace.

I touched on the norm of Delaware’s Justices of the Peace accepting tips for doing their jobs in an earlier Delaware missive. Further investigation due to the flap reveals that the duly elected Justices in all three Delaware counties routinely accept tips for doing their job.

All of the Justices are Democrats.

Democrats’ Practice of Accepting Tips Illegal

“Tipping elected officials has to be one of the most outrageous scams in Delaware, and now we find that this is not only a violation of trust, it is a violation of the law.” said Executive Director David A. Crossan

The Democrats in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties have each admitted to accepting tips for performing marriage ceremonies – for themselves or their campaigns.

Okay, let’s stop tipping them. And how about THEY stop illegally taking tips?
