ELECTION 2004!

ELECTION DAY 2004! Let the Games Begin.

Daschle Tries to Ban Republicans from Indian Reservations; Ohio Court Finally Allows Lawful Challengers

Let us begin our minute to minute coverage of this historical day with a few notes from events already taken place.

Beginning with Senate Minority Leader, Tom Daschle, who is predicted to lose his position in South Dakota to Republican Jim Thune.

Daschle has been stealing the SD election for years via that state’s large Indian Reservations, much like Democrat manipulation of the same sort in New Mexico.

This year the Repubs have wisely targeted problem areas as far as vote stealing goes. Florida, New Mexico, Ohio, South Dakota, Philadelphia, PA, St. Louis, Mo., are among a few squarely in Republican sights.

It sure is about time the Repubs got a clue. I’ve documented often how I learned to steal votes by the time I was eight years old.

So the Repubs are staking out the SD polling places on the Indian Reservations, observing how many people vote twice, etc.

Late last night Daschle filed some crazy lawsuit to stop this lawful activity as such as folks are allowed to walk peacefully upon American streets. Even if they are Republicans and even if they want to stop the Dems from stealing an election.

As for Ohio, a major battleground state , there’s been three court battle so far to disallow ‘polling place challengers’.

It is perfectly allowed for the parties to have people at the polling places and it is perfectly also allowed in the state of Ohio, for such political party representatives to issue challenges for any voter’s registration.

Said challenges do not mean the voter CAN’T vote as that decision remains in the hands of the precinct captains.

All citizens can cast so-called ‘provisional’ ballots-votes that will kept in a separate pile for clarification to eligibility to be determined after the election.

This is the legislative non-solution drafted by congress in the interim between Florida’s disastrous 2000 problems and this election. The proper solution would be better training of voters, better voting techniques, more control over the registration process.

At any rate, the games have begun. Check back all day for more upgrades, comments, pictures, snide remarks and, as always, excellent commentary.
