Gossip/Speculation: Chase, Hilton, Ford and the enemy state of Massachusetts

A Little Gossip and Speculation is Worth Some Time for Rumination

A Hollywood History Buff

HOLLYWOOD GENIUS

“Somebody get Nicolas Cage's new wife, Alice, an American history book--and quick! Spies at the L.A. premiere of ‘National Treasure’ last week said Alice, 20, seemed befuddled when someone talked to her about the Declaration of Independence. ‘She looked at them and said, 'What is the Declaration of Independence?' ’ our witness relates--an account confirmed by another attendee.”

POP CULTURE STORY OF THE WEEK!

From No Less a Political Pundit Than Chevy Chase

Below some quotes from Chase’s diatribe at a recent awards show. We like the part about Kerry being a bore. As for Chase’s Bush comments, well the words themselves speak volumes about this idiot.

Chase called the prez a "dumb [expletive]." He also used it as an adjective, assuring the audience, "I'm no [expletive] clown either. . . . This guy started a jihad."

Chase also said: "This guy in office is an uneducated, real lying schmuck . . . and we still couldn't beat him with a bore like Kerry."

Massachusetts IS the Enemy

Mine husband hails from Massachusetts, a state he escaped from when he married the wonderful me. Then we both had to escape from Merryland, another liberal la-la land which taxed us to death. Now we live in Delaware and have the wonderful Joe Biden in our senatorial lives.

Still husband insists that there are plenty of hard-working people in Massachusetts, that he was one, and not to let recent events cloud perception of that state.

Well how the hell can I not?

This is a state which regularly elects Edward Kennedy, the man who left a young woman to die in the waters of Chippaquidick, which court has cause turmoil across the country in demanding that Massachusett legislators legalize gay marriage. This as if the role of the court was NOT to provide interpretation of legislation as opposed to actually implementing such as called for by our constitution.

Below, what the hell is going on in that Kennedy state now? Seems Newton North High School has an annual Gay and Lesbian day. Why aren’t all these hard working citizens of Massachusetts out rallying against this? My husband does say they are there, these caring citizens. So why do they continue to allow schools to host such events?

Hey, by me the schools shouldn’t even be sponsoring “heterosexual” day, such things belonging to the family unit except, I suppose, in Massachusetts.

That state leaves such personal matters to the schools then eagerly votes in murdering senators.

Below, one fine Massachusetts lady tried to record events at this new frontier in education. A frontier designed to expose young people to gays, lesbians, et al, in a grand party and parade. She had her camera forcibly removed by the principal and was led from the grounds by security guards.

Each year, some students at Newton North forgo classes during To BGLAD: Transgender, Bisexual, Gay and Lesbian Awareness Day with assembly-like sessions including ``Out at the Old Ballgame'' and ``Color Me Queer.'' Students are not required to attend.

Cariani kept her two kids home during the day, but she was curious.

Cariani and another parent, Brian Camenker, were in the audience when adults in a panel discussion talked about being gay. When one man told the students he was attracted to his sister's husband, Cariani said she started to record the ``propaganda, false information and lies.''

Paris Hilton Is a Fascinating Person?

The Wise I has nothing against Ms. Hilton, mind you. She’s managed, after all, with absolutely no talent and not much of a body, to become some sort of pseudo-celebrity whose Blog, if she had one, would likely get way more hits than mine.

But a fascinating person?

Associated Press

NEW YORK - Paris Hilton has been named one of the "most fascinating
people of 2004" by Barbara Walters.

Walters will host a special on Wednesday, presenting the 10 most
intriguing people of the year. Others besides the hotel heiress
include filmmaker Michael Moore, "Jeopardy!" champ Ken Jennings and
Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling.

Upcoming Movie About Fallujah

Methinks a movie about Fallujah would be most interesting. Except, perhaps, if produced by liberal Hollywood, which this one will be. I don’t trust the liberals in Hollywood who never heard of the Declaration of Independence.

Harrison Ford is slated to portray U.S. General Mattis.

From Reuters

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Producers at Universal Pictures are developing what would be Hollywood's first feature film about the war in Iraq, with actor Harrison Ford ready to portray a U.S. general in the movie, the studio said on Friday.

The combat drama would be based on the upcoming book "No True Glory," an account of the battle for Falluja by Bing West, a Marine veteran and former U.S. assistant defense secretary now covering the war as a foreign correspondent, a studio spokesman said.

Below is some info on this General the movie would portray. This is for historical purposes should Kaitlyn Mae ever actually see this movie with God knows what interpretation.

Pale Male

I have listened to the woes regarding Pale Male, the red-tailed hawk once with a specially designed nest on a Manhattan high rise that was taken down, debated and lamented, then put back up.

I stand chastised that I do not have more information on the story but just as soon as my bird-watching self heard the subject was a red-tailed hawk mine eyes glazed over.

Red-tailed hawks are the mortal enemy of anyone with a bird feeder.

Which is not to say that these hawks, indeed hawks in general, are not magnificent bird creatures. But when you have an enemy which regularly kills and eats the sweet little birds that come to enjoy your seed offerings, you tend to lose all admiration for the critter.

Thus I do not care if Pale Male is kicked out on his ear and even my nature loving self is apathetic. I will also say this, there is no dearth of red-tailed hawks on this planet thus the fuss to save this one is a puzzlement to The Wise I.
