~~~~~~~~~~~
It's a hot and sultry August but there's lots going on out there.
In this Week Just Passed we have Able-Danger, Air America, Cindy Sheehan, rescued Russians and the safe landing of Discovery.
Oh, and the political cartoon of the week guaranteed to make you smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Ann Coulter gives us a snort in her Notable Quotable on Terrorists.

Also, NARAL's real reason for their silly ad and Ted Kennedy's comments on Bolton for posterity.
~~~~~~~~~~~
They wouldn't let me copy their pictures on this Web Site of the Week.
But I got a good link for this funny Internet stop for some hilarious pictures.
The Strange Greek Airplane Crash
All 121 people on the flight were killed.
In due course more will be known. But as of this writing, there's some very strange facts about this plane crash.
-the pilot was NOT in the cockpit
-Fighter planes flying alongside saw passengers in the cockpit trying desperately to command the plane.
-A text message by a passenger was sent to a relative. The text message said that the passengers were frozen and the pilots were not in control of the aircraft.
-this particular aircraft has had air pressure issues in the past.
-the Greek government acknowledges that the aircraft may have been hijacked.
From Yahoo.com:
ATHENS - A Cypriot airliner carrying 115 passengers and six crewmembers, crashed north of Athens on Sunday, the defense ministry and fire department said.
The Helios Airways flight crashed at about 12:20 p.m. near the coastal town of Kalamos, just north of the Greek capital. Witnesses told Athens radio station they saw the plane, which was being followed by fighter jets, go down.
Iraqi Constitution Due Today
If the parties negotiating can't agree the acting government CAN extend the deadline for the preliminary constitution. Even so, such an action will be considered a form of failure.
What's disconcerting is the rumor that the planned constitution will make Iraq an Islamist country.
Our servicemen died so Iraq can be another crazy country in the midst of many crazy countries?
If these people developing that Iraqi constitution come back with this I say pull every American service person out of that country and let them all go straight to hell.
The Gaza Strip Pullout
I feel for Ariel Sharon. I feel for all those settlers who are being uprooted and moved.
I understand why they are doing it.
As of this writing it is reported that a squadron of "activists" are gathering in Gaza. The Israeli army is in the Gaza in full force.
It's going to be tense.
Israel is going to give the Gaza strip to Palestine. The Gaza strip was not part of Israel originally.
Then some smart alec Muslims from Syria and Egypt decided to attack Israel. Israel fought back and in the process took over the Gaza strip.
Although not reported, I imagine that if there is ever to be peace between Israel and Palestine that Israel has been put on notice that they must vacate the Gaza strip.
Ariel Sharon is being a statesman. He has a difficult job. It might not work. The terrorist group Hamas is already declaring it will not only take over the Gaza strip but will also take over Jerusalem and all of Israel.
I feel for Ariel Sharon. I know he is trying to bring a permanent peace to his country.
God Bless and Good Luck.
