President Bush on vacation
The President is at his ranch in Crawford.
He has no cell phone or television. He has no access to the world and plans on doing no work the entire month of August. There are no media allowed around his ranch and no mail will be delivered.
Even though congress is on recess for three days LONGER than the President, various evil and nasty congress critters are doing what they do every year. They are lambasting the President for daring to spend some time at his ranch.
And they are all acting as if that first paragraph were true.
Does anyone really think the President of the United States goes on vacation? Vacation as in leaving the world behind and isolating oneself from life?
They make me sick their lying hypocritical selves.

Bob Novak Walks Off CNN Show
Seems the man got sick of serpenthead Carville, said a curse word on the air, and walked off the set of “Crossfire”. A show for which HE is the producer!
CNN has since suspended Novak for an undisclosed period of time. Novak’s not worried. He’d get picked up by Fox in a minute.
I am reminded of a famous quote attributed to Carville.

French Airbus Crash Lands in Toronto
All passengers escaped the horrific flames that engulfed the aircraft.
The latest info on this crash is that FOUR, count ‘em, FOUR of the emergency doors did not work at all. It’s a story flying under the radar. Had one single passenger died in that crash we’d still be talking about it.

Air America Steals from Poor and Crippled to Stay in Business
It was planned as a liberal love fest to counteract the huge impact made by conservative talk shows.
Only no one was tuning in and money was sparse.
So they stole some.

Russian Sub Rescued from Ocean Floor
With all the 24 hours a day cable news networks, this story got short shrift. For while the cable networks are on the air 24 hours a day, it seems they have weekends off.
Heaven forbid that news should happen over the weekend.
All of the Russians sailors on board the sub are reported in good health. The Brits did the deed. Kudos to our English buddies.

On Same Sex Parents
Seems Massachusetts is dealing with what to call the “parents” of children of same sex couples.
From Kathleen Parker:
The problem is that birth certificates as currently written reflect archaic notions of procreation, that is, involving a mother and father. Thus, gay and lesbian parents have asked the state to replace "mother" and "father" with Parent A and Parent B.
And we thought Dr. Seuss was just being silly when he created Thing One and Thing Two in his "Cat in the Hat" series.
