The Week in Politics

PIC OF DAY

Birth Control Issue Racks the Country

It's been a rollicking week just passed, one that had me, a devout Catholic, screaming, ranting, raving and sending emails to my priest.

The email to my priest was a complaint about the issue of not talking about this issue from the pulpit. As my priest responded, HE did address this matter on all masses he conducted but the weekends in question I did not attend his masses.

I don't know why the alternate priest didn't address this issue , nothing in over two weekends of masses. There's something to be said for the power of the pulpit.

Speaking of pulpit, Obamer used his bully pulpit to cast edict down upon the masses that he shall command.

Just like this….poof, the first amendment of the constitution is spit upon disdainfully and cast aside.

Don't give me this nonsense about a large percentages of Catholics use birth control. What's that got to do with the price of eggs?

Like a prominent Catholic spokesnoid told that liberal idiot with the long name on MSNBC, THERE ARE CATHOLICS IN JAIL!

Whether or not Catholics follow the edicts of the church is between them and their God. There were quite a few smirky types, including Juan Williams of Fox, maybe they should fire him again, this time for good. He called the flap a "trumped up issue" and know now ladies and gems, all one or two of you reading this thing, that these stupid people just DO NOT get it.

You don't just say…"TA LA, what's it matter, Catholics use birth control anyway, let the precious wonderful mighty all-knowing Obamer trash this country's law for this very stupid reason?" The Catholic church has, FOREVER, condemned the use of contraceptives save the rhythm method, and for sure yon ladies and gems the Catholic church does not condone abortion either so let's not forget that little matter of the day after pill. This pill is a very early abortion and nothing less and now you've got a President stomping all over a religion's dogma and the boobs got the nerve to sit on TV and throw out silly snark?

They came for the Catholics and I did nothing, They found pork good for your health and commanded the Jews must eat it and I did nothing. Then they came for me and no one was left to defend me.

After all the brouhaha that had many Democratic Reps and Senators also speaking out against this mandate Obamer gets on TV and allegedly "backs down". Get this, He Who Would Be a Dictator/King said instead of making the CHURCH provide health insurance that gives free contraceptives to the females in Obamer's voting base, Obamer's going to make the HEALTH insurers provide free contraceptives.

Come on guys, this is all semantics.

There's nothing wrong with a health insurer providing contraceptives, even a day after pill. But let such a choice be subject to the whims of the market, including such as price and desire for coverage. But if anybody thinks the churches , indeed all of us, wouldn't be paying big time for this, I got a bridge to sell cheap. Just been renovated.  Once upon a time health care insurance was for actual diseases and health problems.  Getting pregnant is NOT a disease unless you are a liberal female, so why should health insurers cover the pills to prevent it?

Obamer shall be King and you all shall bow before his mighty throne.

The ball's now in the court of the Bishops. Let's see how they handle this.

If nothing else, Americans in droves do not trust this nothing burger of a President or his nothing burger wife. We should thank him for giving us all reasons NOT to pull the lever for him this coming November.

Speaking of Obamacare

The most tragic piece of legislation in the history of America is this thing and now get a load of this information which happened to pass through my Ebox.

If you own a home, please read this!

The National Association of REALTORS is all over this and working to get it repealed, before it takes effect. But, I am very pleased we aren't the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners. How many REALTORS do you think will vote Democratic in 2012?

Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home, etc. When did this happen? It's in the health care bill and goes into effect in 2013.

Why 2013? Could it be to come to light AFTER the 2012 elections? So, this is "change you can believe in"? Under the new health care bill all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax.

If you sell a $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax.

This bill is set to screw the retiring generation who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November and 2012 vote more important?

Oh, you weren't aware this was in the Obamacare bill? Guess what, you aren't alone. There are more than a few members of Congress that aren't aware of it either

***ed note....the sales tax for obamacare sale of homes is NOT quite as drastic as the above verbiage would have you believe.  There is an exemption from this tax of $250,000-$500,000 for married couples- gain on sale before the tax kicks in, PLUS this applies only taxpayers of a certain income level.

Still and so, it's a start and once the politicos start something like this the exemption amount will decrease while the income level it applies to also goes down.  But it IS written in the obamacare bill.
