True Crime House parties and homeowners with guns

Daily Miscellany

Thoughts and flashes of brilliance that enter my head from nowhere.

Enjoy.  Or abhor, depending on the effect of my "wisdom".

I have taken to wearing a mask when I venture out in the world.  As have many Americans.  I really don't mind except, darn I hate wearing those things.  First, the mask I have, given to me so kindly by my next door neighbor, tends to knock my glasses off my face.  Second, seriously, I have a real problem breathing in the thing.

I am looking around because face masks are all the new fashion rage, both in creativity of appearance and how practical and comfortable they are to wear.  If face masks are part of our future I am going to find one with the face of a cat that doesn't knock off my glasses and that adequately protects me. ---------------------------------------------------

An Illinois mayor who sent the police to crack down on parties of more than ten people during the coronavirus pandemic found his wife at one of those parties.

Brant Walker, mayor of Alton, ordered the police to crack down on anyone who violated Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s stay-at-home order issued on March 20, which has now been extended to April 30.

According to the order, all nonessential businesses have to cease operation and residents have to stay home unless they have to leave for essential needs such as grocery shopping, seeking medical care, or going to the pharmacy.

There is also a provision in the order that limits gatherings to ten people at a time to halt the spread of the virus.

The city’s chief of police notified Walker on Sunday that officers were investigating and putting a stop to a social gathering in downtown Alton and told him that his wife had been in attendance at the party.

He told the police to give the same punishments to his wife that they would to anyone else attending the party.

“My wife is an adult capable of making her own decisions, and in this instance, she exhibited a stunning lack of judgment … I am embarrassed by this incident and apologize to the citizens of Alton for any embarrassment this incident may cause our City,” he said in a statement.

Home invader charged with felony murder in death of accomplice in Arlington Heights: police

This is somewhat of a strange story.  A pair of very intelligent men broke into a home where the homeowner got his gun and shot one of the oh so smart males.

The robber that managed NOT to get shot is being charged with the murder of his buddy.  Understand the living robber did NOT shoot the buddy, the homeowner did.

But the buddy would be alive if the first guy didn't participate in the home robbery.

A Tennessee man faces a felony murder charge after he allegedly broke into an Arlington Heights home Saturday to rob a family at gunpoint and the homeowner shot and killed his accomplice, police say.

Bradley J. Finnan, 38, of Chattanooga, and his accomplice Larry Brodacz allegedly rang the doorbell of a home in the 2400 block of North Evergreen Avenue in a “targeted” robbery, Arlington Heights police said in a statement.

Finnan and Brodacz, who was armed with a gun, entered the home and were attacked by the homeowner, police said.

After a struggle, the homeowner chased Finnan out of the house and went back in to get a gun from a safe as he saw Brodacz pointing a gun at his wife and two children, police said.

Brodacz, also armed with a knife, then attacked the home owner, police said.

“Fearing for his life and the lives of his wife and children, the homeowner discharged a round from the family handgun, striking Mr. Brodacz in the abdomen,” police said in the statement.

Doorbell video captures violent Illinois home invasion which left coronavirus mask-wearing suspect dead

Yet another pair of geniuses managed to get one of them shot dead by a homeowner.  Folks, as a reminder, robbing homes is a stupid thing to do what with almost everyone in the country at home, many of them with guns.

These guys were wearing face masks so they wouldn't catch the virus.

It was homeowners with guns that are the real danger in this matter.

Two armed robbers were caught in a doorbell video attempting to invade a home while wearing coronavirus medical masks and gloves - in an incident that left one of them dead and the other under arrest.

The Illinois homeowner gunned down one of the suspects and chased the other out of his house in Arlington Heights, a Chicago suburb under a coronavirus lockdown.
