7/31-Let's discuss Simone Biles; The silly investigation of Jan. 6,2021.

Daily Miscellany

Thoughts and flashes of brilliance that enter my head from nowhere.

Enjoy.  Or abhor, depending on the effect of my "wisdom".

Let the Investigation Begin

  • So I tuned in to watch the performance of lying capital police and damn Democrats and this waste of time investigating the events of 1/6/2021 in the nation's capitol.
  • Oh, and wonderful Republican, Liz Cheney, as her words below show where she's coming from.

“When you think about that and share with us the vivid memory of the cruelty and the violence of the assault that day and then you hear former President Trump say quote ‘It was a loving crowd. There was a lot of love in the crowd,’ how does that make you feel?” Cheney asked U.S. Capitol Police Officer Aquilino Gonell, who has previously described the day’s events like a medieval battle.

Oh dear Lord we had congress critters crying as they expressed their fear of the "terrorists": breaking into the capitol with threats of murder.  Only one person died that day at the hands of others, who would be Ashli Babbitt, killed by an unknown capitol security officer.

There is nothing fair or honest about this hearing and the Democrats will gain nothing by this waste of time.

Simone Biles

I am fascinated by the saga of Simone Biles.

She is what? Too mentally unstable to do her Olympic performance?  I don't believe a word of it.

I've been hearing the sports pundit all week gushing, oohing and aahing about poor Simone and her inability to control her mind during these Olympics.

What the hell, she's a GYMNAST, she doesn't need her mind!

What a world.  They can kneel in irreverence during the national anthem.  They can turn their backs to the flag they represent.  Now they can refuse to participate because they are feeling blue.  I heard one participant was not going to perform because the committee provided no Dr. Pepper.

We are to understand that fewer people are watching those bunch of spoiled brats.  I for sure could care less and yes, I used to love to watch the Olympics

Review "Top Dog"

Network A&E Tuesday nights at 8:00 pm

Top Dog is a very  intriguing dog contest that , at times, amazes.

Warning, you'd really have to like dogs to enjoy this show.  The entire hour is filled with dogs and their owners performing  tricks.

The show features all sorts of dogs but most of them are either German Shepherds or Belgian Malinois'.  I seen quite a few border collies and every once in a while a plain ole mongrel pup.

As an aside, I once owned a Belgian Malinois.  These are great dogs but not for the timid.

The contest begins between two dogs.  I don't know which dogs are chosen to compete against which but  they are usually similar dogs.

The tricks the dogs must do include knocking down huge blocks of wood to create a ramp, loping across water on planks held together by ropes, changing lights from green to red, crawling through wires and jumping into water.  At the end the dog must attack a human, dressed in protective gear of course, then return to the owner by command to assess the time.

Whichever of the two dogs has the fastest time will compete against the winner of the next competition.  Finally one dog emerges with the fastest time and is announced as America's Top Dog.

Some funny things happen at time as dogs sometimes don't want to jump in water or hit the flashing light.  The owner at times must beg the dog to do the trick.  After a certain amount of time the human owner can press the button and move on through the circus of tricks with a penalty of loss of time.

It's an interesting hour of dog watching.  Not something I'd want to watch every night but once a week it's a fun show.

THE FLY ON THE WALL

Yes I am a fly and yes I also Blog.  I tend to wander around among the politicians and hear their conversation.  Because I am a fly beneficial to humanity, I share that which I hear. Bear in mind my spelling.  I am, after all, only a fly.

Vaccination

It was vacation week or something the day I overheard the discussion about the vaccination and what the human Democrats were trying to avoid.  This meeting was with a Democrat and a Republican and they were arguing about President Biden's speech about getting vaccinations, the speech that aired recently.

This fly does not much understand all this human obsession with something called vaccinations as flies don't need such thing.  If a healthy fly can avoid a fly swatter or those gluey things that hang in human homes, that's pretty much enough to keep us alive.

"He's the President of the United States for God's sakes," one of the men said, I think he was the Democrat.  "We  need our leader to go out and plead with the American humans to get a vaccination," to protect against this virus.

The Republican guy took a sip of coffee and a bit of donut.  They were meeting at a local restaurant and the Republican was dropping delicious crumbs all over the place.

"I know what you Republicans are trying to do and trust that neither Schoomer or Pelozi will allow it," the Democrat said, he too dropping some crumbs for my handsome fly self.

The Republican continued sipping coffee and chewing donuts and smiling kind of sneakily.

"You know that this plan would increase the vaccination rate by 50%.  Schoomer and Pelozi know it too," the Republican said.

"They won't allow it," the Democrat said firmly.

Suddenly the Republican stood up, dropped a few strands of the stuff humans call money and began to walk away.  When he got to the door he turned around to the Democrat and smiled.

"You get Trump out there to beg more people to get vaccinated and your virus problem will go away.  Americans do not listen to Biden," the Republican said, then smiled, then walked out the door.
