When Is The Indictment?

All week long this past week I have been reading that former President would be indicted.

It's been a week by now but we are now at the weekend and still no indictment.

That's Stormy Daniels in the picture, the lady alleged to have received money from Trump.

But it's a big sham.  I believe Trump will win the next election.

The Odd Highway Sign

I saw this sign all up  and down our closest highway to Dover, Delaware.

Understand, this is a sign meant to send a message with tongue firmly in cheek.

First, the entire word on the second line is DISTRACT...with the ED missing at the end.

Then comes the SQUIRREL word which, as I assume, is meant to be used as an illustration of the sorts of things that distract us drivers.

It's a dumb sign for a high-speed highway and makes little sense.

The Goats

There is a group of goats living with a few blocks of my house.

I love them goats.

Here is a picture where I stopped and gave them a petting.  All four of them came up to me and were happy go see them.

They are, indeed, not only quite handsome, they are, indeed...THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!

The banks are failing all about us and it makes me nervous.

As I am to understand it, it is mostly the Biden administration that somehow allowed these banks to go astray.

Jan. 6  lies revealed by Tucker Carlson

We have been watching Tucker Carlson as he reviews the "crimes" and lies spread about Trump voters on Jan. 6, 2022.

Liz Cheney was one such liar.  Nancy Pelosi did not bother with notifying the capital police.  Many Trump fans were invited into the capital building by the FBI itself.

Tucker is getting a lot of flack on his reporting from the likes of CNN and MSNBC but he tells is like it is.

And the DOJ ain't pretty on how they handled that so-called riot.

The Cat Gift of The Mole for the cat

-----------------------------------------------------
I found my cat, Shadow, sitting on my porch, pointed ears perked and awaiting me to invite her in.

Which I did.

Somehow she got outside by tearing the window screens apart and joining another gray cat, male, who mated with her and soon I had five kittens in my house.

At any rate, Shadow is now five years old and that same gray male cat keeps coming around.  Shadow, on the other hand, is no longer interested and further, she's been spayed.  Still, I find a dead mole by the bottom porch step, left I assume by the male cat for Shadow.

We got rid of the dead mole and Shadow did not bother with it.

God bless the dead mole.

Review-"That's My Jam"
-----------------------------------------------------

I  have, by this writing, watched this show exactly two times.  It is hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the same guy who delivered this year's Oscar.

I do not like this man, if he is host of the Oscar or this ridiculous show.

It's a sort of trivia show but silly, noisy and not all that entertaining.  And I say this as someone who quite likes trivia.

This show feature four celebrities who play as teams of two against each other.  This past week, for example, one of the celebrities was Patty LaBelle.

The contenders put their hands in a box filled with maybe pumpkin, ham or other unknowns, and race to guess the items first.  Sometimes they play a singing contest only they will utter the song lyrics with one word.  For example, the song might be "Falling in Love" but the contender would sing the tune of the song but use one word to make the tune.

Hey, I think the concept is dumb, loud, boring and of little entertainment.

If you like noise and loudness, THIS IS YOUR SHOW!

I would learn as much about the Murdaughs as I could as this is a very interesting family.

If anybody should meet Buster Murdaugh, invite him to contact me.

3.6.2023-More on Murdaugh; Review of "Restaurant Impossible"; Smiles, giggles and gossip

  Political Thoughts

-----------------------------

Alex Murdaugh found Guilty of Murder of Wife and Son

It was quite a week for the trial of Alex Murdaugh  for the murder of his wife and son.

As I watched the trial I was shocked by how many people have been killed by the hand of someone in this family.

There was the beloved housekeeper, who died first. Then we had the "mystery" of a sudden shooting of Alex Murdaugh in the head and on to a strange death of a young gay guy found dead on the street in front of the Murdaugh residence.

We move on to the boating death of a female passenger on Paul Murdaugh's speeding boat and we end with the shooting deaths of Paul Murdaugh and Maggie Murdaugh.

Alex Murdaugh got caught lying like a champ about that shooting.  He was found guilty and sentenced to two consecutive life terms.

Five dead people and a grazing-bullet scar on Alex Murdaugh's head.

I was occupied all week with this trial.  It has all the ingredient of a first class true crime.

Ann Rule would crank out a great book about this crime.

Oh, and I'm sure there will be more on this subject in the future.

More on President Carter

I wrote a quick blurb about President Jimmy Carter recently as we are to understand he is in hospice at home and his health is not good.  However, he is 98 years old and thoughts are he is probably close to the end.

I declared Carter to be the worst president ever in our American history

I was a liberal when Jimmy Carter was president, something I am not proud of.  I was in my later 20'2 when Carter got elected.  It didn't take long for all of America to know how bad a president can be.

We had long gas lines, at times having to wait over an hour just to get gas.  We had mortgage interest rates of over 15%.  Americans were captured by our enemies and held hostage for over a year.

Finally, Ronald Reagan got elected president and America became normal again.

Someday I will tell my story about Ronald Reagan, how I went to his swearing in, how D.C. cops almost arrested me for making a lot of noise while he was speaking.

I was still a liberal and considered Reagan the enemy.

But I eventually grew up.

Review Restaurant Impossible with Robert Irvine

An episode of "Restaurant Impossible" has a standard format.  It begins with the introduction to the restaurant which is about to be done over.   The restaurant about to be remodeled, re-furnished, set up with new menus with all the problem money issues being dealt with is usually an eatery that has been losing money and customers for a while..

Most time the folks owning the restaurant about to be remodeled are very troubled, with employees all doing the wrong thing with a interior set up that does not quite work.

Irvine brings in a construction team and they will re-model the restaurant and change to more modern furniture.  Irvine himself overlooks the every day running of the restaurant, to include who is cooking, who is serving and most of all who is managing the place. Of course Irvine tests the entire restaurant menu and most of it tastes not so good.

After all this action, the contractors pretty up the place, a new and tastier menu is created, employees are moved to more suitable positions and the public is invited enthusiastically to come on in to the all new, better managed restaurant.

One very important thing Irvine does is to calculate how much a menu item costs to make vs. how much is earned from the menu item via the price.  So many people running a restaurant...well hey, they're NOT accountants.

Irvine helps to overhaul the restaurant and teach the troubled owners how to run it.

It is on once a week and a  pleasure to watch and learn from the whole thing.

  Political Thoughts

Worst Secretary of Transportation....EVER

Not that there have been many superior Secretaries of Transportation.  But in this area of blocked delivery services, trains jumping the tracks and airplanes nearly colliding in the air, seems that current Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg is the absolute worst.

He was on paternity leave when all the roads were blocked from deliveries.  Then, when the trains jumped the track in Ohio ole Pete was....well for a full month he never bothered to visit the accident area.

President Trump came to the train-accident area well before Buttigieg showed up.

Now if we give it some thought, few of our current Secretaries of anything, to include our Vice-President, don't do much of anything.
---------------------------------------------------
So It Was the Chinese FLU?

All week I've been hearing that per a revelation, it was the CHINESE who sent mighty COVID to our shores.

Is anybody surprised by this?

As I recall right from the start President Trump referred to it as "Chinese Flu".  Trump got publicly chastised for this but here we are, two and a half years later, learning from our own government that China somehow let the virus loose.

I suspect that the virus was let loose as a way to defeat Trump and allow Biden to win.

Just a guess but I don't put anything pass the Bidens.
--------------------------------------------------------
The Unbelievable Murdaugh Murders...Who Killed Meg and Paw Paw?

I have been watching the court trial of Alex Murdaugh and I am shocked.

I am an avid true crime buff but even with that I've only one ear open to this trial.

First I learn about his housekeeper, who fell down the stairs and died.  There was a large financial settlement that was supposed to go to the housekeeper's family from the Murdough's house insurance.  The housekeeper's family never got a penny from Murdough.

As my ears started turning in to this story, I learn that Murdough was addicted to some sort of oxycodin and was stealing upwards of millions of dollars from his law practice.

Then I learn about some adolescent who was found dead on the highway and it is suspected that one of the Murdough boys caused it.  Also, the adolescent female who was killed by a boat accident on a boat drive by one of the Murdough boys.

Finally, and by now my ears are perked and I'm shocked.  Seems someone shot and killed Paul Murdaugh and Alex's wife Megs.

Is it believed that Alex paid someone to commit the crime, just as he allegedly paid someone to fake an attempt on HIS life.

It's a crazy set of circumstances but by now, way I figure, Alex Murdaugh is a narcissist.  Evidently Alex thinks he is entitle to kill anybody who had money he wants or who he wants out of his life.

As of this writing, no verdict has been returned.

I pray the jury finds this man guilty.

His son and wife deserved to live.

My Lost Pot

It's a silly story, but for a couple of hours I could not find my pot that boils and drains what is within.

I've had this post for almost 20 years and I really needed it.  I was a bit piqued by my daughter, who is now living with me, in that I assumed she put is somewhere and I didn't know where.  I complained to daughter and she began looking for the pot.  She swore she never moved it.

Finally daughter picked up my cutting board then covering one of the kitchen sinks.  There was my pot, happy and health.  I supposed that I left it there.

President Biden and the Ashes

Please note on the picture that President Biden is wearing his ashes for Ash Wednesday, as he does every year.  Even though he preaches that abortion should be legal, against the Catholic church teaching, HE gets to proudly wear his ashes.

I'm not proud of this, but I did not my ashes this year.

But Biden, as always, proudly wears his.

My Ukraine Baltimore Experience

In fact I once lived in a neighborhood full of Ukranians, in Baltimore, on Broadway, right near my school, St. Patrick's.

The reputation of the Baltimore Ukranians was one of being off to themselves, hard-working and law-abiding.  When St. Patrick had their exams, I got to go to lunch with a Ukranian family.

They were great.

I'm not saying that all Ukranians are like those I knew in Baltimore, but they were good people one would like to have as neighbors.

Picture of ME

So above is me, a pic I came upon.  I was in my early 30's in that picture and I gaze upon it and think..."I wasn't so ugly", which I always thought I was.

Not to worry.  I am now 72 years old and do not look anything like this anymore.

But I don't look half bad and yeah, the men were like a bus...miss one and another one comes right along.

Review- Next Level Chef starring Gordon Ramsay

I do quite enjoy cooking shows and you can't go wrong watching a cooking show produced and judged by Gordan Ramsay.

The show has three kitchens.  One is very modern, with all unique appliances and cool cook tops and such.  The middle kitchen is down a level from the top one, without huge deep fryers and handy pots.  The basement kitchen is drab, not equipped nearly as much as the top kitchen or middle one.

The assigned kitchens are dependent on which team lost the last challenge and which one won to deserve the top kitchen.

I like the show because it appeals to folks with all kinds of kitchens.

Check it out.  It airs on Fox.

2/17/23;Nikki Haley , who CNN's John Lemon loves; The train wreck, idle gossip and lots of smiles.

  Political Thoughts

As of this writing, the reasons for this nut job to walk into an in-session college and shoot three people dead and shoot five to critical condition.

Of course the liberals moaned that we must get rid of guns, knives too if necessary.

Since then, this guy shot and killed himself.  There's still little known about him but he's gone and the world is a better place because.

The crazed mass shooter who shot dead three students and left five others in critical condition at Michigan State University was identified Tuesday as 43-year-old Anthony Dwayne McRae.

The gunman was identified as police confirmed he was found dead of suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound at 11:35 p.m., just over three hours after he first opened fire.

Cops earlier said the killer was not thought to be connected to the university, and police did not reveal a possible motive in Tuesday’s early morning update.

Nikki Haley Running for President; CNN's Don Lemon does not approve

The Nikki story from this past week is hilarious.

First, she announced publicly that she was throwing her hat into the ring for American president 2024.

The funniest part of this story is the wonderful CNN pundit Don Lemon.  When Haley's decision is discussed, the very wise Lemon informs the world that females, from mid-30's to mid-50's....well they are out of their prime.

Here we have a President, 80 years old, falling off of bikes, making gaffes every time he speaks, who rarely speaks the truth.

AND WOMEN ARE OUT OF THEIR PRIME IN THEIR 50'S!!???

This man needs to go.

And as for Haley, I suspect she's putting her name out there for consideration as a VP choice.

Palestine Train Wreck

The story of the train derailment in Palestine, Ohio, is disgraceful.

And now I hear that some sort of bomb detonator has been found and this derailment, so it is hinted, was the work of terrorists.  This is just idle gossip and the detonator was not close to the actual site of derailment.

Still and so, the government of all kinds of bureaucracies did not show up to help these people while their water tastes awful and turns blue, fish and birds are laying dead, damage is great.

Yet Biden took a sneak trip to the Ukraine, the hell with hurt American towns.

Review of "Animal Control"
----------------------------------------------------------

A group of local animal control workers' lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not. Leading the crew is Frank, an opinionated, eccentric animal control officer who may not have gone to college but is still the most well-read person in the room. In his past life as…

My daughter and I watched this new show as we quite enjoy shows about animals.  We thought this would be a real laugh.

It wasn't.

The  leader of this animal control group was once a cop.  He is portrayed as a snarky, cynical type.  One scene has him sticking a chewy in a worker's pocket as ostriches were let loose to chase him.  Shots of the ostriches pecking to get in his pocket were frequent.

First of all, this was a terrible scene..  I just did not understand why the boss wanted to put his employees safety at risk and the shots of a man being chased by ostriches....was just not funny.

In fact this show was not funny, the animals were not cute (besides the ostriches there was a huge boa constrictor...not cute or funny).

Forget it.  Both my daughter and myself give it a thumbs down.

Kelly Rippa and Ryan Seacrest break up; Judge on "Night Court" has some thoughts

The resignation of Ryan Seacrest was on all the news this week.  I am not particularly in love with this series but upon channel-surfing I might watch for a bit.

Seems "American Idol" is now starting up and Ryan is tired of commuting between Los Angeles and New York.  He has been a co-host with Kelly Rippa for over 6 years.  Ryan will be replaced by Mark Consuelos- Kelly's husband.

There was a laugh line on "Night Court" this week.  The judge made some crack, as I paraphrase:
"You remind me of Kelly Rippa and Mark Consuelos when they are co-hosting and we can feel the heated lust between them".

I do sense that Kelly and Mark have a somewhat lustful relationship.

We will soon be seeing plenty of Kelly's husband soon.

President Jimmy Carter....Let us provide the truth

I understand that Jimmy Carter is very ill and not likely to live much longer.

I pray he does not suffer and will rest in peace.

He was the worst president this country has ever had, even worse than Biden.

House mortgage rates were up around 18% and the GAS LINES!

Who could forget sitting in a gas line to put gas in your car for over an hour?

Then there was the taking of American hostages and the rescue that failed miserable.

Still, I do not think Carter was taking bribes from other countries.

He just was a liberal who thought being a liberal was the way for America to go.

It was not.

The Chinese Balloons
---------------------------------------------------

Of course I have some thoughts on that infamous Chinese balloon that sailed across the skies of my country unimpeded by any defense.

I remember seeing the first video of the thing as it loftily flew over the State of Montana and wondered what the hell happened to my country.

America has been attacked on its soil before.  There was the attacks of 9-11 and, of course, Pearl Harbor.

Every time any foreign country attacked America we attacked right back.

But I suppose since the Bidens are making a fortune off of the Chinese they are allowing them a free flight over the country to spy on us.

My question is, what are the Republicans going to do about it?

Because don't count on the Democrats to do the right thing.

The Autobiography Begins
-----------------------------------------------------

I'd written about  my plan to write my own autobiography, soon.  I also plan to write autobiographies for others.  For now, here are some of my chapter subjects.

But first, allow me to establish that I have given myself a grade for the entirety of my life, a C+.  Anybody planning to write their own autobiography should begin pondering their life grade.

Some of the chapters of my life will include:

-the story of my house burning down, completely, when I was 14.
-the fact that I earned my college degree after 13 years of going at night.
-I lived on a farm for four years.  We were the worst farmers ever...boy I got some farm stories
-I also lived on the Chesapeake for 13 years.
-I have written, and published, five books.
-I am an avid birdwatcher and Blogger.

Hang on, it's been a good life, but I made a lot of mistakes.
----------------------------------------------------------

The 2023 State of the Union Address
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was delivered on the Tuesday prior to the writing of this message, on Feb. 7, 2023.

President Biden delivered the annual State of the Union Address and first, take note, he didn't make too many gaffes, he didn't fall off of a bike, he pretty much read from the script-writer.  Couple of claps for that.

Kevin McCarthy kept my attention as he sat behind the President and his disdain was evident.  Which is
not to state that he was not on his proper behavior.  He did shake his head "no" when Biden told a lie, which was all night.  But he clapped when Biden gave a somewhat correct statement.

One thing McCarthy did NOT do was tear up a printed copy of the President's speech as the former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, so rudely did.

Still to see a Republican, finally, as Speaker of the House of Representatives, THIRD in line for the presidency  was a nice change.

Besides lying about the state of the economy, Afghanistan, the Chinese balloons, illegal immigrants, one of Biden's biggest gaffes was his assertion that the Republicans want to reduce Social Security and Medicare.

Biden's been repeating this lie since he was a Senator.  But he says it, like he repeats lies with grace and ease.

Republicans would NEVER seek to cut down SS and Medicare, a source of income for all American citizens that they've paid into all of their lives.

The Republicans all booed over this lie told by our President.

And I hear that Mitt Romney garnered no favors for his traitorous presence.

MEGHAN MARKLE ON "CASTLE"

Forgive the awful pictures but it happened so suddenly.

First allow me to explain.  I do quite like the British as they founded our country and America wouldn't be half as wonderful as it is were we not started by the Brits.

I was very intrigued by the funeral of Queen Elizabeth recently.

So I am now in the process of reading "Spare" by Prince Harry, son of current King Charles III and deceased Princess Diana.

That boy don't know how to write but his book, as I've read so far, is shocking.

Anyway, "Castle" is one of my favorite shows and I kept seeing the name Meghan Markle.  Finally I took a picture of the person on the TV screen. Yes, THAT IS MEGHAN MARKLE!!!

Now I know that Markle has been on many American TV shows and she and husband Harry of Sussex are working hard to make big names for themselves but I figure so what?

Meghan Markle will be known more than William's wife and I say, more power to her.

I will do a book review on this book after I read the entire thing.
===========================================
Update on Paul Pelosi

I feel a bit silly about the Paul Pelosi incident but I will justify.

First, apparently Paul P. was innocent, about to be attacked in his home, not meeting some mysterious boyfriend with a hammer.  With all information known but with no explanation from Paul P. or Nancy, we learn that Paul P. was trying to keep the incident low key, fighting over the hammer, trying to summon the police without causing a fuss.

Actually it's a good story.  Paul P' tried to get it over with without too big a fuss.  Somebody didn't lock the doors.....dumb.  And, of course, someone in the media says it was all a Trump trick.

Can't lose an opportunity to blame Trump.

Editorial......Ukraine vs Russia

It was my hope to submit a wonderful editorial on the subject of American involvement with Ukraine against Russia.

However, I do not like this American involvement, I do not understand why America is involved in this matter, and frankly, I'm not sure either of these countries are worth endless American effort and dollars.

First of all, the President of Ukraine is this Zelensky character who is a dancer of some renown.  Some might say that's admirable but I am not impressed.  It seems to THIS American that all Zelensky does really  besides dancing, is asking for money.

Then there is the confusion of NATO and nuclear warheads and for God's sake, President Biden can't even keep the immigrants out of our country or remove Americans from Afghanistan much less conduct and win any kind of war.

So while I wish I could take a side, I wish America would just get out and we had a leader that could lead.

But this Ukraine/Russia war makes no sense to me.

Announcement of Autobiography to Come

I hereby announce my intend to do what I think everyone should do in their lifetime.

Which is, specifically, write their own autobiography.

Right now I must stipulate that my autobiography is no gem, I will win no prizes for those that admire me or the righteousness of my life.

In fact, allow me to start my autobiography with the grade I would award the totality of my life, which is a C+.

Keep eye open and talk to me about helping YOU write your autobiography.

You don't think that someday your offspring will be curious about your life?

Give it some thought.

TYRE NICHOLS...WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

I have been watching that horrible video of up to five Tennessee cops beating the hell our of this guy.  It's, as of this writing, not at all clear why he was being stopped while driving by the police although it's been rumored that one of the cops declared Tyre tried to get the cop's gun.

Whatever the case, FIVE cops beat on this guy, eventually killing him!

Barely mentioned on all the video coverage is the fact that ALL of the cops doing the tasing, kicking (in the head) and punching....were black.

Now I don't think this fact much matters.  Cops, no matter their color, are not judges and juries.  Tyre should be alive today.

May he rest in peace.

Ronna McDaniel re-elected GOP CHAIR

I am surprised.  She did an ok job in her prior years as GOP chair.

I didn't trust her then, this niece of Mitt Romney, and I don't trust her now.
-------------------------------------------------

I do not quite understand the entirety of this weird story.

If yon reader wants, I shall dictate what I think was going on with all that.

I do not think Mr. Pelosi is homosexual and I don't think that meeting of that theme.  I do think there had been some connection between these two men and it was, on that night, unwelcome.

There was also a hammer involved.

Heh.  I will study the matter more.

And so I went to the gym last night as I had made my vow to attend and use a gym on a daily basis.  This is the Flex gym and is located in Georgetown around the circle and then straight through to Dupont Highway.  On route 113 (Dupont Hiway), there will be a shopping center with a Rite-Aid and a bunch of stores.

I used this gym last year but I find that this year it has expanded.

Above is the expansion of the gym.  There were plenty of users and I even managed to use some of the exercise equipment myself.

Above is the gym's logo, big and clear.

To those who would like to go to the gym with me, we can work it out.  Right now I plan on going to the gym on Monday and Wednesday.
