TV and CABLE Shows of Interest This Coming Week
========================================

Foodies, this week the Food Network is featuring ‘teaching kids to cook’ week. Rachel Ray, the newest darling of the Food people, will be featured on at least two specials that I’ve noted. But hey, Rachel Ray is cute as a button, ain’t she?

If football is your thing, ABC will have the Kansas City Chiefs vs. my own beloved Baltimore Ravens, beginning at 9 pm-Monday- 10/4.

Ladies, and non-football fans, check out Fox’s new reality show, "Renovate my Family", 10/4 8pm AND 9pm. Later this week Grandmother will have a missive on the many decorating shows that are all the rage. THIS show, wow, a new house, new clothes, new hairstyles, and new personalities. Tall order. Should be interesting.

Tuesday, October 5-9 pm, every network and cable news show…THE VICE-PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE.

Watch Dick Cheney clean the Breck Boy’s clock.

Wednesday-10/6/04…I am listing a few of the home decorating shows for those who might want to check it out in light of my illuminating missive on these things.

The Learning Channel-8 pm-In A Fix- The premise of this show is some do-do guy started a remodeling project and didn’t finish it. Or same guy’s house is falling apart. The guy has to wear an "It’s All My Fault" t-shirt and help the called in team fix up his errors.

The Learning Channel-9pm-While You Were Out- The strangest home remodeling show of them all. A mysterious person from someone’s past comes back and helps a design team remodel a specified room. Whacky….two mysteries going on here: will the subject like the remodeled room and will he/she figure out who from their past has come to redecorate their house?

ABC, 10 pm-Aw come on, you gotta watch this. Wipe Swap involves two women who swap families. Fox has another such show called Trading Spouses. I’ve watched this show a couple of times and thought it was really cute. No, there’s no sex.

Thursday, Oct. 7
CBS will be having that new Survivor series with the long name at 8 pm.

The Food Network will be featuring Emiril of BAM fame, cooking with kids, per the special note above, at 8 pm.

NBC will have an episode of The Apprentice at 9 pm. I tuned into this program at the urging of my daughter and checked it out. I think it's a good show, actually.
