A Valid and Well-Written Essay Countering My Recent CIA Missive
…but, of course, totally wrong.
Mr. Greenway at the Boston Globe was not, naturally, responded to my own wise missive concerning the recent shake-up at the CIA, himself never having heard of Grandmother. The Wise I and the CIA
In light of yesterday’s confrontation with liberals and in light of being fair and balanced, The Wise I presents what I consider to be a most reasonable, but totally opposite view of my own assertions.
Wouldn’t want you all to think all liberals are like Justin.
The Wise I asserts that Mr. Greenway’s reasoning is a bit skewed with his argument that to disallow an executive arm of the government to leak endlessly to the press their own views on things is the same as making them report what the administration WANTS to hear.
But wait a minute. CIA, of all the branches of executive power, is not paid simply to charge ahead blindly in the direction the administration points like the Light Brigade at Balaclava: "Theirs not to make reply/ Theirs not to reason why/ Theirs but to do and die." The CIA's job is to use its head and advise, not just blind obedience.
