Matt Lauer Takes on Bush ...And Loses
He's interviewed such major players as Britney Spears and pervert school teacher, Deb LaFave. In the video below (just click) he interviews President Bush. Any fool can see that Lauer is out of his element in such weighty matters as world peace. We especially love Lauer's assertion that Amnesty International, a nest of liberals and paid spies, declared America's so-called CIA "black sites" as being against international law.
Somebody tell me where is the book of international law? I know there's treaties and such but I've been to college and currently keep up with world news. Somewhere along the line I seem to have missed the international law rule book. Further, and I am a dedicated voter, I seem to have missed any elections that put those folks into place that created this international law. Perhaps I should request this information from Mr. Lauer himself since he has the audacity to conduct an interview based on something that does not exist.
Is She An Air Force Runaway Bride?
Jill Metzger is a newlywed who was deployed to an American base in Manas Air Force Base in Kyrgyzstan. She and her new husband, Joshua, were scheduled for a delayed honeymoon in the near future before she went missing in a Krygyzstan shopping mall.
Jill showed up at a Kyrg residence, disheveled, disoriented and with bloody feet.
Beyond this, the story of what happened to Jill Metzger is a mystery filled with conflicting stories from the KYRG investigators, U.S. Air Force Spokes People, and the Russians in the residence where Metzger finally reappeared.
Depending on who's doing the talking, Metzger: had cut and dyed her hair, claimed that someone had inserted a bomb in her pocket with an attached note (we're not making this up), had a bruised face, did not have a bruised face, had cell phone calls to some other town in Russia recorded on her phone, had bloody feet, and said she was abducted.
No known terrorist group took credit for Metzger's abduction.
We may never know what happened to Jill Metzger but for a few days she had almost the entire U.S. military out looking for her. Her story has changed every few minutes. Her husband, oddly, has not commented although his parents were interviewed by the AP.
I think Jill is lying about being abducted, just using common sense here. I don't know why but come on, a stranger stuck a bomb in her jeans' pocket with a note attached telling her where to go and what to do? And this trained American Air Force major just, boom, does what the note requests?
Color me extremely skeptical but in summation, this is a military matter and I'm quite sure the military will deal with Jill Metzger.
From Fox News.com:
WASHINGTON - The investigation into the case of a U.S. servicewoman who reappeared as mysteriously as she vanished will continue, a senior defense official said Tuesday, adding that something about her story didn't add up.
Air Force Maj. Jill Metzger, 33, vanished from a shopping mall in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Sept. 5. She resurfaced three days later when she knocked on the door of a house in Kant, about 22 outside Bishkek, and claimed she had been kidnapped.
Ex-President Carter STILL Has a Big Mouth
It’s like having the builder of Boston’s “Big Dig” be a consultant on a new building project. He already screwed up badly so let’s consult him on this project over here.
Carter was so disliked by America that he got creamed out of office. Seems Americans didn’t take kindly to three hour long gas lines and 17% home interest rates. Oh Yes, I remember this man well.
So why the hell would anyone with two brain cells listen to this man’s voting advice? Not to mention it is in extremely poor taste for former Presidents to get all involved in local elections in this matter.
Sure, Carter was only on Larry King Alive and that right there says enough about Carter’s credibility.
Couldn’t stand the guy. Can’t stand the guy. Will never be able to stand the guy. The man was my President back when I was a liberal but STILL I hated him without fail.
From All Headlinenews:
Lamont, who upset the three-term Lieberman last month in Connecticut's Democratic primary, got a boost Wednesday from former President Carter, who offered a blistering critique of Lieberman's support for the Iraq war, telling CNN's "Larry King Live," "He was one of the originators of public statements that misled the American people into believing that the Iraqi war was justified."
"He's joined in with the Republican spokespersons by saying that Democrats who disagree are really supporting terrorism," Carter said. "So for all these reasons, I've lost my confidence in Joe Lieberman and don't wish to see him re-elected."
Gotta Feel Sorry for Keith Olbermann
It’s not easy carrying around such a hatred that it consumes you from the inside like a fox gnawing at your innards. Add to this handicap the fact that you are alleged to be a handsome “journalist” with your insane rants subject to broadcast across the public air waves or cable lines and, well, it’s sad.
Recently Keith went nuts on televisions across the land and hey, he got our attention. Sick puppy. Somebody tell Keith that Bush isn’t running again, to just get over it.
From Newsbusters.org
MSNBC's Keith Olbermann unleashed one of his most vitriolic attacks on the President, accusing him of "lying by implication" to get America into a "fraudulent war" with "needless death" in Iraq, which Olbermann referred to as "an impeachable offense." Olbermann: "The polite phrase for how so many of us were duped into supporting a war on the false premise that it had something to do with 9/11 is lying by implication. The impolite phrase is 'impeachable offense.'"

Plame, Novak and Armitage
One of these days this travesty of justice will be over. Yes I have followed the Plame/Wilson flap closely, including that joke of an independent prosecutor, faithfully. I can’t allow the most conclusive development of this case go uncommented upon.
First, Armitage is former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s Deputy Secretary. Name me one right-hand guy in the universe who doesn’t tell the boss, or is TOLD by the boss, what’s happening and what to do about it. Colin Powell knew all about this Plame Game is what I’m saying here.
Further, Fitzgerald knew that the leaker was Armitage as Novak told Fitz this as did Armitage himself. Yet Fitz still continued on with the “investigation” even though he a)knew that Plame was no covert agent as she would have to be for any leak of her status to be illegal and b)that Armitage was the one who leaked the info on Plame before he even launched his investigation.
MILLIONS of dollars have been spent on this nonsense and as of now, there appears to be no end in sight. The big problem here is that bull dog Patrick Fitzgerald has been unleashed and he has absolutely no trainer to pull him back.
See, Fitz has been removed from reporting to anybody. Indeed, the man reports to no one at all. Common sense would have him reporting to the Justice Department, from where he was dispatched. Only the appointment of Fitz was so convoluted and fraught with mistakes that the end result is that the man can go on forever. It will only take an act of congress to stop him. And does anybody expect those lily-livers to do anything about it?
So here we have, in this United States of America, a prosecutor who can do ANYTHING, absolutely anything, he wants. He could, if of a mind, come right on out here and arrest me for writing about him. No one can stop this guy.
Is this how we expect our country to be run? With one fellow in so much control that he can lock up anybody he wants? I’m not kidding about this folks. Someone either bribed or paid Colin Powell to set this up. I wonder what these former administration minions have on Powell.
From the Sun Times, by Richard Novak:
First, Armitage did not, as he now indicates, merely pass on something he had heard and that he ‘‘thought’’ might be so. Rather, he identified to me the CIA division where Mrs. Wilson worked, and said flatly that she recommended the mission to Niger by her husband, former Amb. Joseph Wilson.
Second, Armitage did not slip me this information as idle chitchat, as he now suggests. He made clear he considered it especially suited for my column.
Moonbat Alert
Came across this site during my Internet travels and was amused. Below is an example of two “cover-ups” currently ongoing. One involves the charge that Halliburton, once headed by VP Dick Cheney, is selling nuclear technology to Iran! I’ve bolded the parts of their own text that disproves their headlined lie. This is actually a college project, folks. Go to the link the below to read more of these “conspiracies”.

#2 Halliburton Charged with Selling Nuclear Technologies to Iran

Title: “Halliburton Secretly Doing Business With Key Member of Iran’s Nuclear Team”
Author: Jason Leopold

According to journalist Jason Leopold, sources at former Cheney company Halliburton allege that, as recently as January of 2005, Halliburton sold key components for a nuclear reactor to an Iranian oil development company. Leopold says his Halliburton sources have intimate knowledge of the business dealings of both Halliburton and Oriental Oil Kish, one of Iran’s largest private oil companies.
Additionally, throughout 2004 and 2005, Halliburton worked closely with Cyrus Nasseri, the vice chairman of the board of directors of Iran-based Oriental Oil Kish, to develop oil projects in Iran. Nasseri is also a key member of Iran’s nuclear development team. Nasseri was interrogated by Iranian authorities in late July 2005 for allegedly providing Halliburton with Iran’s nuclear secrets. Iranian government officials charged Nasseri with accepting as much as $1 million in bribes from Halliburton for this information.
Go with me here. This fellow Nasseri got bribed by Halliburton to reveal Iranian information. So how does make Halliburton guilty of selling nuclear information to the Iranians? Halliburton got information OUT OF HIM.
Below the tale of detainees allegedly killed at Guantanamo Bay. This group considers heart attacks to be murder. My question to these kooks is: If the U.S. is systematically “murdering” these Guantanamo detainees why not just kill them all? They are a problem at any rate. We don’t want to bring them back to the U.S. and in many cases, their home country won’t take them back. According to this conspiracy, some 44 questionable deaths occurred in Guantanamo Bay. 44?
Like I said, why not just kill them all?

Another report from the ACLU indicates: “a 27-year-old Iraqi male died while being interrogated by Navy Seals on April 5, 2004, in Mosul, Iraq. During his confinement he was hooded, flex-cuffed, sleep deprived and subjected to hot and cold environmental conditions, including the use of cold water on his body and head. The exact cause of death was ‘undetermined’ although the autopsy stated that hypothermia may have contributed to his death.”
An overwhelming majority of the so-called “natural deaths” covered in the autopsies were attributed to “arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease” (heart attack). Persons under extreme stress and pain may have heart attacks as a result of the circumstances of their detainments.
Will New Jersey Repeat Their Election Scam?
Well they got away with replacing the corrupt Torricelli with the ancient Lautenberg. This time we have Democratic contender for N.J. Senator, incumbent Robert Mendenez under a cloud due to ethics complaints. In most states a landlord who is also a senator who steers thousands of federal money to the charity that rents his property would be considered engaged in, eh, a conflict of interest. This plus there’s plenty more on this Mendenez character. Mendenez is being closely challenged by Republican Thomas Kean Jr.
Like Torricelli before him, Mendenez might pay an electoral price for his questionable business practices. Like Torricelli before him, should the Democrats get worried that Mendenez might lose the election, well do they plan to just, boom, replace him on the ballot at the very last minute with a candidate the public will like?
Why have elections for God’s sake? Just take a poll two or three days before the election and if your guy’s not looking good, poof, pull him and replace him with another more publicly palatable candidate. Get the corrupt New Jersey Supreme Court to verify that this is perfectly fine.
Fropm Newsday.com:
TRENTON, N.J. -- With New Jersey's Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate under fire for his business dealings, two top Republican lawmakers on Thursday called on the governor and Democratic leaders to advance a bill preventing last-minute candidate swaps.
State Senate Minority Leader Leonard Lance wants Democrats who control the Legislature to fast track a bill that prohibits replacing a candidate less than 48 days before a general election, unless the candidate dies. Lance, R-Hunterdon, first introduced the measure in 2004.
More Liberal “Compassion”
On 9/13/06 left-leaning political pundit Arianna Huffington was asked on the Bill O’Reilly show what she thought of how Saddam treated his Kurdish population.
The discussion had been, as it always is, about our situation in Iraq. Huffington, like so many of her Moonbat colleagues, thinks Saddam is a fine guy. When posed a question about the Iraqi Kurds, a sub-Iraqi-populace that Saddam gassed, poisoned and routinely murdered, Huffington replied: ”So What?”

Baltimore Pizza Shop Bombers-An Update
I received an email from a fellow who apparently lives in Baltimore’s Dundalk/Glen Burnie area. He took exception to Debbie Schlussel’s assertion that the missing Egyptian Muslim students were employed at a DUNDALK pizza shop.
Original Blog post here.
You know the 11 missing Egyptian Muslim "students" who never showed up at Montana State University?
While some of them have been found, Safa Pizza--the Maryland pizza shop where two of them showed up as "employees"--should be a place of interest to federal counterterrorism investigators . . . if it isn't already.
Ditto for its owner, Egyptian Attia Gouda, who was harboring these missing aliens in his Baltimore area apartment. Why isn't ICE arresting him? And why won't the Baltimore Sun name his pizza shop in their article on the 2 students? Attention, reporters: It's Safa Pizza a/k/a Safa's Pizza.
Now Debbie Schlussel is a renowned Blogger/Internet Writer who takes delight in finding terrorist connections and pointing them out very loudly. However, a reader emailed me some correspondence that indicates that Schlussel might be wrong on this one. I am going to quote Ernest’s email in its entirety.
Hello Ms. Fish,
I just read your post on the missing Egyptian "students" found in the Baltimore area and wanted to let you know that I've done some research into the matter (reading all available news accounts, doing business document searches, even personally visiting the pizza shops). I live near Baltimore myself and I am not interested in having terrorist cells nearby!
As it turns out, though, Debbie Schlussel repeated some false information, and all of my research confirms this. The "Safa Pizza" where alleged terror plotters were arrested last fall is in Dundalk. The Safa Pizza where the Egyptians turned up is in Glen Burnie. They're about fifteen miles apart, and I've been unable even to make a connection between the two from ownership and other business documents. And Debbie isn't saying there's a connection, she's claiming they are one and the same place.
I, too, made the same mistake initially, and it still seems strange to have
several pizza shops of the same name. But there are or have been at least five Safa Pizzas in Baltimore during the past five years, and about as many other businesses named 'Safa.' One is currently opening just down the street from the Johns Hopkins Medical campus in East Baltimore, where I work. Safa seems to be a popular name amongst Muslim business owners, and there are quite a few of them in Baltimore.
When I gave Debbie the information I turned up, she told me I was wrong and banned me from her site for disagreeing with her. But I'm only trying to set the record straight, since that's what the blogosphere is all about. It does no good for conservative bloggers to resort to MSM techniques, the way I see it.
Thanks for taking that into consideration, and keep up the good blogging!
======================
Now Ernest seems like, well an ernest young man. He’s right of course. If Schlussel has it wrong then it should be corrected. I answered Ernest’s email with questions regarding where he got his information from and requested sources. Ernest responded, quoted below.
I lived in Glen Burnie, Maryland for 20 years and worked in Dundalk for 15 years. I am quite familiar with the area.
While I can’t verify Ernest’s assertion that Schlussel has her pizza parlors wrong, I can quote Ernest’s investigation for yon readers to decide. If Schlussel’s got it wrong, she should correct it.
Hello, Pat,
and thanks for writing back.
Here's what I know about the recent arrest of Egyptian students; I derive some of the info from news broadcasts (unfortunately, I have no audio or video clips to send) and newspaper articles, among which the most informative is probably:
HERE
(Annoyingly, I just discovered that the Sun archives everything after two weeks, so I'll paste summaries of this one and a previous piece (Aug.11) at the end of the mail.)
I get the rest of my information from business document searches and from site visits, as I detail below.
Anyway, back to the students:
They were arrested in Dundalk at the apartment of pizza shop owner Attia Gouda. His home is in a several-block section of old brick rowhomes across from a Mars supermarket. Dundalk and the rest of the east Baltimore city and county area is apparently a big destination for Egyptian immigrants.
Gouda came from Mansoura, Egypt, and the students attended university in Mansoura. Gouda's wife implies that they knew each other previously. According to the law enforcement sources and people interviewed by the news reporters, the students worked at Gouda's pizza shop across the harbor in Glen Burnie. The place is at 9 Vernon Ave, at the mouth of a side street in the strip mall area of Ritchie Highway. I went to visit the pizza place one afternoon several weeks ago, and found that it was operational, with specials advertised in the window, a customer ordering at the counter, chairs on the sidewalk for diners, and an Arab man and a Caucasian woman (possibly Gouda and his American wife) leaving in a car to make a delivery.
So the students worked in Glen Burnie at a pizza shop and were arrested in the apartment of their employer in Dundalk. How does this relate to last fall's incident and to what Debbie Schlussel is saying?
Debbie claims that the students were arrested at the same Safa Pizza involved in the fall incident. She claims that Attia Gouda's pizza shop is in Dundalk and is the same shop where illegal immigrants were arrested in October. She says these two shops are the SAME, not that they're RELATED, and she reiterated and further strengthened this claim in email correspondence with me. For my part, I can see clearly that they're not the same place, but could they be related?
I looked up the business documentation (corporate charters, financial papers, fines, etc.) for all of the Safa Pizzas I could locate locally. Attia Gouda's name is absent from all of the paperwork for the two Safa Pizzas in Dundalk, as well as from two other Muslim-owned pizzerias in Dundalk. In fact, I haven't found his name anywhere except in connection with the Glen Burnie store. I turned up some connections between the Dundalk pizzerias (the FBI did, too, seemingly, since they raided three of them last fall), but I could find no evidence that Attia Gouda was connected to any of them. I have some of these documents saved as PDFs if you would like to see them.
Finally, I drove to Dundalk to take a look at the pizza places. One Safa was sold to Sunline Foods, Inc., also a Muslim-owned company, several years go. The remaining Safa Pizza, the one involved in last fall's incident, is still in Dundalk, although it is apparently not operating. I found the location, a green awning still bearing the name and a phone number, but the store was empty. Presumably, immigration charges or the property return violations I found during my document search led to a shutdown of the store since last October. The other Muslim-owned pizza places are still in existence.
My conclusions are:
1) The Safa Pizza located in Glen Burnie and involved in the missing student case is a separate entity from the Safa Pizza investigated last fall; and
2) There are no immediately apparent business or personal ties between the
two Safa Pizzas.
Am I still suspicious? Yes. But is there any reason to classify Attia Gouda as a terrorist and demand that he be arrested, deported, and his store shut down? I don't know.
I worry that by making these charges against this man, Debbie Schlussel is exposing herself to a strong libel case.
That's what I have for now; please let me know if I should send any of the business docs.
Take care,
Ernest

HERE ARE THE ARTICLE SUMMARIES:
Summary of "Missing Egyptians Arrested," Baltimore Sun p. 1B, August 11, 2006:
Federal agents arrested El Sayed Ahmed Elsayed Ibrahim, 20, and Alaa Abd El Fattah Ali El Bahnasawi, 20, in the Holabird Avenue apartment of a pizza shop owner from Egypt, Attia Gouda. Ibrahim and El Bahnasawi were being held in an undisclosed location, pending possible deportation proceedings, authorities said.
According to Gouda's wife, Jennifer Evans, Ibrahim and El Bahnasawi apparently stayed with her husband for several days while she was on vacation this week. When she returned Wednesday, she said, her husband introduced them to her as friends from his native village of Mansoura, Egypt, where the students are undergraduates at the local university.
Summary of August 13 article in Baltimore Sun (Josh Mitchell):
The Egyptians arrested last week in Dundalk were helping out at a pizza shop in Glen Burnie, according to a woman who said her husband gave the men work there. Ten months earlier - after a tip, later discredited, that Egyptian immigrants in the area were planning to blow up a tunnel - authorities visited pizza shops in eastern Baltimore County, and four men were held on immigration charges.
Carol Barbour and her Egyptian-born husband, Ahmed Barbour, worked at a carryout in Dundalk that was searched by federal authorities in October. She said some Egyptians emigrate to New York, and then to Baltimore, where the cost of living is lower and there are more job opportunities.
The men, El Sayed Ahmed Elsayed Ibrahim and Alaa Abd El Fattah Ali El Bahnasawi, both 20, were arrested Thursday morning at the shop owner's apartment in a brick rowhouse on Holabird Avenue in Dundalk. Gouda's wife, Jennifer Evans, said the men had been staying with her husband and a friend of his in Reisterstown.
Dixie Chicks Make Documentary; Still Slamming Their Country
These same Americans get so uppity they don’t murder the traitors, they don’t riot, they don’t make death threats against the Pope. Americans simply refuse to buy these idiots’ music.
So they made a documentary of their travails, titled “Shut Up and Sing”.
Go on. A documentary? Who the hell is going to buy this.
You can’t make us buy your music sweet Natalie, and that really pisses you off, don’t it?
From Yahoo.com:
Maines said Wednesday the band has a new appreciation for Canadian fans, who stood by the country trio while others in the United States tossed CDs in the trash at the behest of a right-wing campaign.
"Yes, thank God for Canada," said Maines, noting the band found political support from countries around the world. "It's a little surprising that the U.S. hasn't necessarily caught on yet."
"It was encouraging to have the premiere of this film in a country where what happened to the Dixie Chicks could never happen here," added Peck, repeating comments made at the gala screening earlier in the week.
Confirm Bolton
There’s a movement afoot across the Blogosphere to pressure the House of Lords (AKA the U.S. Senate) to confirm Bolton as ambassador to the U.N.
Now we understand the Democrats in the House of Lords don’t want to confirm this choice of a lawfully elected President. Tough. Click on the picture below to visit the site and gets those Lords to do their damn job.
