Grotto's Pizza dominates Lewes, Delaware's part of Route 1 mightily, beginning with a big sign roadside that declares the place to be a "Grand Slam".  Inside the place looks like a pizza parlor, with huge TV's and pretty good food.

I had a SteakMacandCheese, which contained...well fried steak over mac and cheese.  It was delicious, plenty big with a lot left over to take home.

One of my guests got a large meat lover's pizza, which included pepperonis, ground beef, extra cheese.  This too provided us a snack that night from our take home.

Grotto's is not cheap but it's good is good, the atmosphere is good, the dinner size is mighty.

If you come down to the Delaware shore, suggest a stop here for good food, a good time and plenty to take home.

There were four of us going to Applebee's in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Items we chose include French onion soup, a magnificent Caesar  Salad, A bacon cheeseburger, and an 8 oz sirloin.

Our entire bill came to $120.90 before tip.

Not inexpensive but comfortable seating, plentiful entrees, great soup and many fine choices.

Applebee's is the sort of restaurant one proudly takes there visitors to for good mean.

So we did and yes that's what we got.
