On DNC Chair Howard Dean

I say let the guy keep right on talking. Allow him please, to open mouth and deftly insert foot.

When his fellow Democrats get creamed at the ballot box due to this Moonbat’s anti-American ravings maybe they’ll do something about him.

HOWARD'S END

"Democrats are quickly dividing into two parties: those who support DNC Chairman Howard Dean and those who think he represents a rhetorical loose cannon that could blow his fellow Democrats up. The ranks of the second group swelled this week after Mr. Dean told a Texas radio station: 'The idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong.' . . . The real question some Democrats are asking is how long Mr. Dean should be allowed to speak for the party, when it appears he's capable of saying just about anything out there on the hustings."

- John Fund, Political Diary, 12/7/05

Congrats Rush Limbaugh

Used to be only third world countries threw political opponents in jail. What with this lame Plame nonsense, the Tom Delay bogus indictments, and now Rush Limbaugh, all of these investigations leading nowhere, it seems a new American tactic by the Moonbats to rid this country of those who would oppose them.

Thomas Lifson of The American Spectator sums it up nicely.

The Wisdom and Sarcasm of the Blogosphere

Heh.

Unattributed.

Throughout the last 22 months there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations, and a total of 2,112 deaths. That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000.

The firearm death rate in Washington, D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our nation's Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington, D.C.

More Wal-Mart Nonsense
I live about a hundred miles from Maryland. Once I actually lived there.

Driving home one day I hear a commercial about the Maryland law that would force Wal-Mart to pay health insurance benefits to all of its employees, including those that are part-time. Actually the proposed law would affect only employers with over 100,000 employees. Guess the only company in Maryland with that many employees?

After the commercial’s verbiage to support this law, that these companies cause the taxpayers to pay their health benefits, a voice announced the ad was sponsored by the SEIU.

The SEIU is the largest health care workers union in the United States.

Imagine that. Sponsor legislation to force private employers to pay health care for part time employees and hey, it’s bound to pay off!

Do we really want the government, state or otherwise, to dictate how companies should pay their employees? Much less at the lobbying and urging of another section of the public that would benefit at this blatant socialism. Said public section contributing lots of bucks to the legislators who are pushing this bill.

Wal-Mart is threatening to pull completely out of Maryland.

I think they should.

The Quotes This Week That Say It All

They've finally come up with the perfect office computer. If it makes a mistake, it blames another computer.

The Worst of Them All

Smokers.

They are shot on sight in Delaware.

LEGISLATING FREEDOM

"Smokers know what risks they're undertaking when they light up. Nonsmokers know that the moment they step foot in an establishment that allows smoking, there's a good chance they're going to be inhaling secondhand fumes. Legislating the freedom to take those risks away from either of those people simply isn't the job of government."

- Radley Balko of the Cato Institute

What’s With This “Thin Ice”?

Perhaps famed economist Diane Sawyer hasn’t heard the news? The economy is booming.

Does this lady WANT more taxes?
