Mary Winkler-STILL That Jury Verdict Makes No Sense



Mary Winkler woke up one fine morning, went and fetched a shotgun then shot her sleeping husband. Matthew Winkler remained alive long enough to know what happened to him, to ask his wife "Why?" and to hear his wife round up his children and hear as all left him laying too far from a phone to call for help.

Mary Winkler claimed she was abused by Matthew Winkler. The jury found her guilty of manslaughter and she should be out of jail soon.

Well I've ranted plenty over this jury verdict but in the interest of continuing research into the mind of fools, I tuned into ABC's recent showing of "20/20", which featured a segment on those Winkler jurors.

I'm one of the biggest fans of our jury system, the OJ jury notwithstanding. Every day ordinary citizens make the most difficult of decisions that would take away the freedom of their co-citizens and 99.99% of the time they do a far better job than a paid juror or jurors could possibly do. The OJ jury almost cut my faith in juries off at the knees but I survived. The Winkler juror still leaves me stunned speechless. In this Blog post I challenged a Winkler juror to tell me what was the logic of finding this woman guilty of such a lesser crime that she may be free with less than a year served.

No Winkler juror contacted me as challenged and the ABC show with many of the Winkler jurors interviewed, didn't enlighten me one whit.

I will say this about the "20/20" show of which I write: It did convince me that Matthew Winkler might not have been such a nice man. For snippets of the Winkler trial revealed several people testifying of some nasty things Winkler did to wife Mary. Up until this viewing I had serious doubts as to Mary's assertion that husband Matt was very mean. Matthew Winkler was "mean" folks, not a nice fellow. So far as I've been able to ascertain, he was NOT what I would call an abuser.

Matthew's secretary at the church where he was minister testified that she'd often heard Matthew speaking to his wife in a loud, abrasive and angry manner. Several of the Winkler neighbors were interviewed by the ABC hostess and they too said that they'd witnessed Matthew's nastiness to his wife.

I tend to believe these people far more than I believe either Matthew or Mary's family, although plenty of them told their version of life in the Winkler household. Nobody, not even Mary Winkler, testified or suggested that Matthew had ever physically abused either his wife or his children. In fact, Matthew's young daughter testified that she'd never witnessed any abuse by her father to her mother.

So hey, I've been married to a nasty man. I didn't wake up one morning and kill the guy. We don't get to kill nasty husbands even if they do ask us to wear platform heels and wig during sex.

Several of the Winkler jurors were interviewed by ABC and I've got a video snippet of one such interview.



For you see, that jury BELIEVED Mary Winkler. They BELIEVED that she was mistreated, they believed that Matthew regularly berated her, they believed that because he was a minister he should be the last husband on earth to be so mean.

Well yeah. Still, in America we simply do not get a free pass to kill people like this, however much they deserve to die. Mary Winkler only should have gotten a free pass had her life or that of her children been in danger. Mary herself admits this was never the case.

Matthew Winkler did not deserve to die for his "crime" and Mary Winkler had every chance to walk away from the man. Instead she shot him dead and a jury of her peers thought this was just fine and dandy. Let us hope that none of that jury's family or spouses up and decide that they too are mean and need to die.

Horrific Gang Rape-Is This a Sign of Ghetto Manhood?

Rap singers regularly embrace their crotches with their hands while singing lyrics that degrade women. It seems like we too often read about these brutal rapes by multiple rapists and too often, I'll say it, the perpetrators are young black men.

About 10 p.m. June 18, there was a knock on the door at the victim's home that now has boards over its windows. According to the police report, the "male" at the door told her the tires on her car were flat. When she went outside to check, masked gunmen rushed her and forced their way inside.

She was raped by about 10 men, according to the report. She was forced to have sex with her son. He was beaten and had cleaning liquid poured into his eyes. The suspects fled after about 20 minutes, according to the report.

Do they think they are cool? Would they want someone to do this sort of thing to their mother? Is it just about being born an animal and that's that?

Two of the main perps in this story were under 15 years old. Are they proud of themselves?

We Must Thank John and Patsy Ramsey Once Again

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — John Mark Karr, who made what turned out to be bogus claims of killing JonBenet Ramsey, was jailed Saturday in a domestic argument at his father's house in suburban Atlanta.

Officers received a 911 call late Friday from the house about an argument between Karr, his girlfriend and his father, Sandy Springs Police Lt. Steve Rose said.

Goodness knows I've ranted enough about this creep John Karr, HERE and
HERE. This fellow got a free airplane ride home courtesy of our taxpayer dollars and the insistance of John and Patsy Ramsey. Because, you see, Patsy Ramsey killed her daughter Jonbenet and it's been a life long crusade of these two to put the blame on someone, ANYONE, else. It isn't enough that they got away with one free murder, oh no. These two pinheads (Patsy is now deceased but she started this project before her death) want their name cleared and in their relentless pursuit, they managed to talk an idiot prosecutor into importing a child sex pervert into this country to endanger OUR children.

John Karr was not arrested recently for child molestation but, instead, for a domestic argument. An argument also involving a GIRLFRIEND of John Karr's, another idiot seems the world is full of them.

Thanks again, I must say, to the Ramseys. They murdered their child but the rest of this country will always have to suffer for it.



Her Little Brother Begged to Live; She Stabbed Him Anyway

Her 8-year old brother begged his sister, begged for his life. He said he was scared, that he was too young to die. His big sister stabbed him anyway. It's heartbreaking.

A Canadian teen accused of murdering her family told a hushed courtroom she stabbed her eight-year-old brother, but her much older boyfriend slit the child's throat, said reports Wednesday.
The girl, who cannot be identified under Canadian law, told a jury in little more than a whisper that her boyfriend, Jeremy Steinke, had killed her parents and then ordered her to stab the little boy, said the daily Globe and Mail.

Her lovely boyfriend was 23 and she was just 12. Her parents wanted her to stop seeing that man. The fine pair murdered the parents and the little boy.

Just when you think you've heard it all, something more horrific comes along.

Can We Lay This Myth to Rest?

The liberals in our surround like to righteously expound that it is the poorest and most destitute in the Muslim world who attack the innocent so viciously. Yes, these are the same liberals who consider our wonderful soldiers to also be poor and destitute.

11 Year Old Arrested for Drinking and Driving

This simply does not bode well for this child's future.

Phil Spector-Save a Woman's Life and Lock This Guy Up

Several women have already testified about this fellow's comments during so-called "dates" and his allusion to shooting them in the head. Now we find out that Spector often commented about shooting women in the head to others in his surround. Until now the testimony from one witness who had heard the crazy Spector rant on about killing women had been denied to the jury.

THIS MAN SHOT A WOMAN IN THE HEAD! Why on earth would the fellow's previous comments about shooting women in the head be denied to his jurors? Duh.

Thankfully the judge did some research and will now allow the testimony. Hey, I'm no legal scholar but if you got a guy who constantly talks about setting off bombs, and then he sets off bombs, it's logical that his prior comments are germane. In fact, had this witness NOT have been allowed to testify to Spector's obsession with shooting women in the head...THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BIGGER CRIME!

LOS ANGELES - The judge in the Phil Spector murder trial decided Monday to let jurors hear from a celebrity security guard who says he heard the record producer rant against women and declare they should all be shot in the head.

So-called Humans Ignore Stabbing Victim Bleeding to Death in Their Path

It would seem that there's a little more to this sensational story than originally reported. Although the main atrocity still stands.

It's not clear how LaShanda Calloway got stabbed and ended up on the floor of a convenience store. Two people have been arrested for the stabbing and first reports are that LaShanda was stabbed inside of the convenience store. If this is true, it's possible no one really understood what was going on.

Although I'll not defend those cold-blooded individuals who repeatedly stepped over this dying woman while they shopped nonchalantly. But I do think all circumstances should be accurately reported.

Also, evidently, there were a group of fire fighters nearby and some of the customers in that convenience store did try to wave down the fire fighters to come over. There is a rule that fire fighters cannot enter a crime scene until it is secured by police. It's not clear whether this rule is a Kansas thing or what, or is it clear whether the fire fighters even knew a lady was bleeding to death inside of the store. Whatever the case, the fire fighters did not respond according to one witness comment.

The cashier said she was not aware of a bleeding customer as she was busy ringing up customers.

IF the stabbing took place inside of the convenience store it's entirely possibly that events happened too fast for it all to register. And those with whom the horror did register were outside trying to flag down fire fighters.

Although that lady taking cell phone pics might consider how SHE'D like it if she was stabbed while others cavalierly took HER picture as she lay bleeding.

As stabbing victim LaShanda Calloway lay bleeding on the floor of a convenience store at 25th North and Hillside, no fewer than five store patrons stepped over her to complete purchases -- and at least one took cell phone pictures of her -- before bothering to call 911, police said.
Police have been told that some of those photos landed on the Internet.

"It's on the video," said Wichita Police Chief Norman Williams. "She laid on the floor while people continued to do their shopping. They're taking photographs. That's our frustration. They didn't call immediately. If people would have been calling us, who knows what the outcome might have been."
Calloway, who was stabbed after an altercation June 23, eventually died at a hospital from her injuries.
