The Shock of the Winkler Murder
There is just nothing, NOTHING, more horrific than the way Mary Winkler murdered her husband and father of three daughters, Matthew.
I admit that when this news first broke I shrugged it off as aligned with the popular sentiment. For blow-dried true crime pundits across the cable channels speculated endlessly about the possibility that Matthew Winkler was a child abuser and this knowledge could be the only reason his wife shot him in cold blood.
The man was a Minister! Which, sure, does not make him above heinous crimes and for sure doesn't make him a necessarily good husband. Yet, it was the fact that he was a vaunted minister and the patriarch of such a seemingly all-American family that led to the pundit speculation. Surely a woman would not bizarrely murder such a wonderful husband. Or so went the scuttlebutt.
Mary Winkler's defense attorneys were strangely mum on the matter. Defense attorneys are notorious for getting their client's story out there. Tell the charged client's story to the public and the jury will be selected from that same public. With Mrs. Winkler I expected blow-dried attorneys to endlessly grace my television with outrages committed by the deceased Matthew Winkler.
Now that her confession has been released to the public, I can see why the defense attorneys kept their mouth shut.
The woman killed her husband, not as defense against his attack against her; not in a sudden spit of rage when she caught him being improper with the children; not even in the anger of a marital argument. She woke up one morning, went and got a loaded shotgun and shot the man as he lie in his bed!
In her confession she said that Matthew constantly complained about how she walked and what she ate. Which, I pause, is a bit unusual. Hidden behind this assertion is the notion that perhaps Matthew Winkler is some sort of control freak. A control freak in the surround can drive one a bit batty.
But here's the thing I cannot get my mind around: did the woman consider that she was killing the father of her three daughters? In one sudden decision she, boom, denied those children a father for the rest of their lives.
It is my understanding that Matthew Winkler's parents have custody of his three daughters and they intend to fight even visitation rights from their mother.
What's also a bit puzzling is why the prosecutors won't go after the death penalty for this woman. I can think of only two possible reasons, given all that we know now. One-the prosecutors are reluctant to put to death a young mother of three children and all that sight and sound bite would bring. Or two-Mary Winkler just might be nuts. The really big news from the confession is that lovely Mary got herself caught up in a Nigerian email scam. We all know those Nigerian email scams, right? No one believes those things, right?
Either Mary Winkler is nuts or she has the mental capacity of a 7 year old. She said that her husband, as he lay dying, asked her "why". She kissed him and told him she loved him then left him to die from a broken spine.
Who knows how long it took Matthew Winkler to die? He had to lie in that bed and hear his wife hustling off his children to somewhere. He had a broken spine and could not call for help.
Talk about heartbreaking. The prosecutors need to grow a spine of their own. This woman needs to die for this crime.

In the statement, Mary Winkler is quoted as saying she doesn't remember getting the shotgun from a closet at the parsonage, but recalls holding it and saying the blast wasn't as loud as she had expected.
The statement said Matthew Winkler rolled out of bed onto the floor and asked why she had shot him.
Mary Winkler said she wiped blood from his mouth and said she was sorry and that she loved him. The state is asking no bond be allowed.
Prosecutors haven't said whether they'll seek the death penalty.
Dr. Corbin
I quote from my own post on the dentist from dacula.
It's required much reading, studying and watching Greta, but I have a tentative timeline on the nefarious activities of Georgia dentist, Dr. Barton Corbin. Who, sadly, seems to have a real problem with women in his life committing suicide just as Corbin is about to break up with them.
Not to mention another "friend" of Corbin's found at the bottom of a lake, her hands duct-taped, not your normal manner of driving.
It's an interesting case, most because of the monster who would fix our teeth has, I'd argue, killed a few woman over the past fifteen years. It's also intriguing how the arrest came down, the dentist being charged with the first suicide of a "significant other" of Corbin, even though Corbin's wife had just committed suicide only two weeks prior to Corbin's arrest.

I was checking to see any new information on Doc Corbin on this site. I still get nightmares about him from time to time. I am the lady who posted the anonymous post in December 2005. Doc Dracula Corbin makes me sick. I thank God that his sons don't have to live around his anger and temper. Unfortunately, as you know, soon after Jennifer was discovered dead, her own son suspected his dad had killed his mother. I think about that alot. Time has helped me to not go too nuts about it, but it doesn't make it any less horrible. What a terrible thing to live with for a small boy. I am sure all the love the boys receive from their caring aunts, uncles and grandparents help them have a good life, as much as to be expected at this point in time. It is a terrible thing to live in fear, especially for a child.
I've seen Corbin's strange and smart-ass looks in the news, in his office and on the internet(I don't ever say nasty words, but it just came out!). It makes me so angry for Jennifer and the boys as well as Dolly and her family and maybe Harriet(if he hurt her or had someone hurt her). There are a lot of spouses or boyfriends who go crazy when their relationships are about to end with their female wife or girlfriend or any bad news about them might get out that they don't want told. Many controling males think they own the person they are in a relationship with. I think men react this way more than women. Dolly and Jennifer must have had an idea that he might do something like he alledgedly did to them, based on their troubles and police reports concerning his temper in their recent past. These are my thoughts of course. Not sure about Harriet's circumstances. No one knows the truth but Barton Corbin, God and the Devil. Harriet may have decided to give out information on Corbin that he didn't want her to, so he took care of her, I assume. Maybe taping her hands kept her from being able to swim or to make it look like someone did a bad thing to her. I think Corbin likes to really scare his victims and maybe torture them before he kills them (my opinion only, we will see when the trial comes out). His temper takes him over like you wouldn't believe. He becomes a different creature. Imagine (assuming) killing your wife or girlfriend or anyone and then going back to a bar and laughing and talking after you've done it. It is really sad these precious ladies lost their lives this way. I changed my mind about going to small claims court to sue Corbin for a dental bridge after Corbin's bad dentistry procedure that put me in the hospital. I wasn't ready to see him so soon after finding out about the suspected murders. A tooth wasn't worth looking at his evil face. I have had a robber to break in on me and shoot at me for money in the 1980's. They enjoyed toying and torture me with a gun and shooting around me. They put the gun to my temple. I think it made the robber feel like he had a lot of power over me (he did). But he really liked it. Kicked me, shot at me, etc... I had three small children at the time. I was home alone recovering from back surgery. He wanted money for drugs. God saved me when a neighbor came over to check on me around lunch time with her 2 kids. She saw the door knocked down and the phone cord pulled away from the wall (she called first, then came over because she thought I might have passed out or fell or something due to the surgery, not a robber when the phone disconnected!). The robber ran out the door when she showed up. I lived in fear. My family had to move to another house and city for me to get some peace and sanity. I got over it pretty quickly after moving. I have a very good heavenly father with me! He protected me! I could hear the same criminal anger in Corbin's voice and see the same expressions as the robber years before in Corbin (really weird). Corbin didn't care except to intimidate and put the blame on others. NOW a jury will decide his fate. I don't think he thinks he will be put away for good as he sits in jail. He is not that type of person in my opinion. He thinks he can out-smart, and he is too much of a bully. Danny Porter is not one to bully. Thank God for him!!! The devil likes to make himself look so nice and good on the outside when he has a raging, calculating plan every second of the day! GOOD (GOD) ALWAYS WINS in the END! THAT IS THE ONE THING THAT GOD GIVES HIS CHILDREN SO THEY CAN MAKE IT IN THE HARD TIMES AND REJOICE IN THE GOOD TIMES!!!
I know Jennifer, Dolly and Harriet are happy now in heaven. That lasts forever! Their families will see them again forever, thank the Good Lord! Corbin took way more than a tooth and fear from me, but it doesn't mean anything compared to what he took from others. I am not afraid of him anymore. He is in a safe place for all. I bet he thinks he has this all under control with his cocky self, but he hasn't seen nothing yet! He will be judged and he will be punished for good.
I just wanted to take a peek at this site and see if there were any more news. I don't like to post things that are negative on a past loved-one's memorial site. That is for their glory and honor.

This Is Just Not Right
Sure one should not be impaired while driving. One should not drink and drive, that's a given. For when one drinks one becomes IMMEDIATELY impaired.
But just because a driver pulled over for a broken taillight tests positive for THC (the chemical in marijuana) in their system does not mean they are high at the time they are stopped. THC remains in the system and is detectable via a urine test. A person could have smoked a joint at a party three week's ago and a urine test given on the day of the broken taillight would show the presence of THC.
According to the Michigan Supreme Court, even though the pot smoking took place three weeks prior to the driving incident, if the driver tests positive the driver can be charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
Folks, this just ain't right. The mythical driver as indicated above is NOT driving while impaired. Driving while impaired means that a person is driving with a brain clouded by either alcohol or chemical substances. Driving while impaired does not mean a driver smoked a joint three weeks ago.
The problem here, and I understand it, is that there is no effective test to judge impairment from marijuana. Other than the urine test, which is NOT a test of a current marijuana high, there is no way to ascertain if a driver is high from the evil weed.
Far be I to question the wisdom of the Michigan judges here, but this ruling makes no sense, no sense at all.

The following story, when I came upon it, gave me pause. I don't especially like Muslims although I know this is a politically incorrect assertion. But I simply cannot stand how they behave over silly cartoons and their creation of an entire generation so brainwashed that the most basic of instincts-the urge to live- has been beat out of them. Thus we have the suicide bombers and go with me on this, there are few Christian suicide bombers.
So on the one hand, I am a bit happy that the confession of the man who slit the throats of his three daughters caused an angry Pakistani police man to shoot the man on the spot. Goes to show that the death of innocent children enrages even those who encourage those same deaths so long as they are killing the infidels.
There's also that part of me that can easily see myself doing such a thing, given the circumstances. Let's suppose I saw those three babies, dead so horribly, their lifeblood oozed out of them. Let's suppose the guy who did it is standing right next to me. Let's suppose I had a loaded gun.
Hey, I don't claim that I would be beyond it. Sure, it's not the way we should conduct a sane society. Sure, the confessor has a right to a fair trial. Sure, the confessor could have been nuts.
Still, I can understand it.

What the hell is it with liberals that if an American citizen gets it into his/her head to set up a plan of terror that it doesn't count?
For not only do we have a motley crew in Florida ready to blow up the Sears' building but recently we have a group devoted to flooding New York's financial district via bombs and trains.
Yet don't I watch the liberal pundits pooh-poohing these home-grown terrorists as "failures" and not a problem.
Forgive me here. Anyone in this country studiously plotting to kill ANYONE, be it one person or many, is a problem. Now I understand the liberals are pissed that this administration has managed to quell any terror attacks since 9-11. And when you're angry and bitter you're not likely to give your hated and despised enemy any credit. Credit for having a thorough department of Justice and an FBI that is on the job, monitoring calls from Mohammed over here to Mohammed over there, checking on bank transfers from the House of Saud to Moumad the freelance terrorist, and in one case, joining terrorist chat rooms. The liberals beat the hell out of this administration for doing their job because during the eight year reign of Hill and Bill absolutely nothing was done and 9-11 happened.
But to try and convince me that just because Juan and Leroy get it into their head that they'd like to blow up a few buildings and hey, let's call Al-Queda and see if they won't bankroll us, that Juan and Leroy are really harmless. If, by harmless, the liberal pundits mean that Juan and Leroy might only cause a minor disruption, perhaps kill just a few people, well hey, get a clue. We arrest people for conspiring to commit murder and we arrest them before they get a chance to commit murder.
I'm sure that Al-Queda and their Syrian and Saudi bankrollers know that the chances of Juan and Leroy actually carrying out a major terrorist attack is nil. But one of these days a would-be bunch of terrorists are going to really make it happen. Our terrorist supporting friends in the Mideast would absolutely LOVE to get a group of American citizens to do the deed. They'd LOVE it. I'd submit that the lovely fellows who hijacked our lawful airplanes on 9-11-01 were specifically groomed to fit into the American life-stream.
If the bitter liberals and ex-Clinton admin misfits want to downplay the danger of these home-grown terrorists to pooh-pooh what a REAL administration is doing to prevent terrorism, so be it. If they think they're going to convince us idiots out in la-la land that it's not a danger, forget about it.
We have children and loved ones out here in la-la land and my grandbaby will be just as dead if she were murdered as an innocent on a targeted train as if she were a victim of a major attack on the Sears' tower.
They must really think we're stupid.

Seems the good chancellor at the Santa Cruz campus in San Francisco was taking a lot of heat for her extravagant lifestyle paid for by taxpayers and students via tuition hikes. Seems the good chancellor had a "friend" for which she got a real cool $200K a year job. Seems the constant criticism, silly people, got to Denice Denton and she jumped out of her luxury apartment building and saved the country the joke of trying to get rid of her in that manner of that Churchill kook in Colorado.

Denton recently was criticized for demanding expensive remodeling to her campus home and for helping her partner secure a top-paying university position.
In March, she defended $600,000 worth of renovations to her campus home she demanded during contract negotiations before being hired in 2004.
Now This Is Interesting
Louise Parks now has two murdered husbands, goodness.
And what's even more intriguing is the connection of Parks to the Clintons. For Louise Parks was married to Jerry Parks. Who was the owner of a company that worked for the Clintons. Jerry Parks died when a car pulled up to his and someone shot him in the chest.
Now Louise Parks' second husband is dead.
I've never been a big believer in the Clinton murder conspiracy. Which makes round on the Internet every so often with a list of all the people the Clintons knew who died under strange circumstances. I've seen the list, maybe someday I'll include on this Blog. As I see it, we have all people around us who meet untimely deaths that if one were to spend some time at it could point to our own fine selves with some artful spin. I don't like the Clintons but I'm not convinced they go around murdering people.
Now what happened here, based on how these things normally go, is the fine Louise Parks likely was involved in the deaths of BOTH of her husbands. Two husbands murdered? Always look at the wife in this event.
Still, the conspiracists allege that Mrs. Parks second murdered husband might have found damning information on the Clintons while he was her wife.
For now I think the investigators are probably looking real close at Mrs. Parks.

Jerry Parks was an owner of American Contract Services, one of whose subsidiaries, American Janitorial Services, provided janitors for Bill Clinton's presidential campaign headquarters and transition team offices in Little Rock.

Dig this one. Three Nigerians scam Vietnamese women out of money by convincing them that they are in possession of blackened American cash and with some money to buy chemicals they can clean the bills up and, of course, the cash will be divided.
What is with people? And hey, doesn't Nigeria have an economy or is scamming their main export?

In April, one Nigerian befriended a café owner in southern Vung Tau resort city and promised to give her a share in a restaurant he was about to open if she lent him US$20,000 to buy chemicals to restore blackened banknotes worth an astronomical US$1 billion.
Patsy Ramsey Won't Be Joining Jonbenet Any Time Soon
Patsy Ramsey, mother and murderer of Jonbenet Ramsey, died recently from ovarian cancer. Yes, I will never believe any of that crazy story about an intruder gadabouting all over the Ramsey house in mid of night. Not to mention that tome of a ransom note.With Patsy's death this Blog has been besieged by hits from searches on the Ramseys.
Which is probably because on all of the Internet there is no better vignette of how little beauty queen Jonbenet died than my own.
