Drew Peterson's Trial Goes On; Stacey Peterson's Dead Because Chicago Didn't Deal With this Creep When They Should Have
Way back in 2007 I got involved with the fine, fabulous Drew Peterson, when his wife Stacey up and disappeared, leaving her kids behind, not to be heard from again until this day.
Who's Been Letting Drew Peterson Get Away With Murder
Almost as soon as Stacey disappeared many folks began to note that Drew Peterson lost a prior wife due to a "bathtub" accident.
On September 7, 2012, a jury found Drew Peterson guilty of murdering his wife, Kathleen Savio.
It was a weird set of circumstances that allowed psychopath Drew Peterson to murder his wife, Kathleen Savio, and get away with it.
A whole bunch of people weren't paying attention. And the fact that Peterson is a cop helped pave the way to a free murder.
It wasn't that the Bolingbrook police force ignored a crime scene that desperately needed more scrutiny. It's that they turned the crime investigation over to the Illinois State police and everyone knows state police need to stick to giving out traffic tickets.
A perfunctory investigation was done and poor Kathleen Savio was declared dead due to an unfortunate, and very, very unlikely accident in her home bath tub. I understand that falls in home bathtubs are one of the most common forms of home accidents. But consider the common sense of it folks, rarely do people fall in the bathtub and just….eh, die.
Over the course of the trial we come to learn the timing of Drew Peterson's relationship with Stacey and Kathleen. Peterson began an extramarital relationship with Stacey when she was a mere youngster of 19 against his 40+ years of life. Kathleen was broken-hearted to have lost her husband's love in such a humiliating matter.
Stacey knew that Drew killed Kathleen Savio.
Folks, I know this vibrant young woman was not fully mature but who one earth would marry a man she knew killed her wife to get her out of the way? Does not the notion that he might one day kill HER cross her mind?
Further, throughout her marriage to Drew Stacey told some people about Drew's murdering past. It was this hearsay that finally allowed Stacey to speak from beyond her grave, wherever it may be.
It turned out to be an interesting legal case in that there is a legal term that does not allow people to kill other people just so anything the victim said to anyone else could not be admitted as hearsay. In other words, it is believed that the very reason Drew murdered Stacey was to prevent anyone she might have told about his part in Savio's death could never be admitted in a court of law due to the hearsay rule.
BUT YOU DON't GET TO KILL SOMEBODY JUST TO PUT THIS RULE INTO FORCE!
I forget what Judge Janine on Fox called this legal roadblock but it makes sense. A legal rule exists just to prevent citizens from losing their precious freedom based on a third hand conversation between two people, with one person testifying to what the other person said. This is supposed to protect our rights that we not be locked up on flimsy gossip type of evidence.
But when you use this safety net legal rule to MURDER SOMEONE, well you don't get to do that. Thus the hearsay evidence submitted by a pastor of Stacy's was admitted in court. According to the answers of several jurors as to why they found Drew guilty, their verdict was based extensively on that hearsay testimony.
Drew Peterson thought he was too clever by half.

Mass Shooting by Rabid Liberal Stopped by Brave Guard
It happened during the doldrums of August. The incident received barely a passing mention.
Some nutjob, probably a liberal nut job based on his reasoning and target, shot a guard at the conservative Family Research Council as he tried to enter the building and right after the shot guard asked where he was going.
The security guard was able to wrestle the shooter to the ground and take away his gun. Who knows who he would have killed had he murdered that guard and was allowed run of the building. The shooter is alleged to have explained that he was after "all this place stands for".

The shooting is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism. Family Research Council is a Christian, conservative based organization. Fox News reports that witnesses say the shooter was speaking out against the Family Research Council's Pro-Life, Pro-Family agenda as he tried to enter the building. A security Guard stopped the shooter to ask where he was going and that is when the security guard was shot. Thankfully, the guard fought back, even after being shot, and was able to wrestle the shooter to the ground and took the gun. Witnesses say that after the shooter was subdued, the shooter told the guard, "it was not about you, it was about what this place stands for." The shooter was allegedly even carrying a Chick-Fil-A bag as he tried to enter the building.

The really weird thing about this case is that the name of the perp is never given. At least it's not given in the story at this link
This fellow, it would seem, was not out to shoot a whole theater full of innocent folk. He had a permit for concealed carry. He also had a concealed carry.
Somehow he shot himself in the buttocks.
How embarrassing.

Chicago Police Officer Hits Man's Daughter With His Motorcycle Then Shoots Him
So here's a story not unlike the Zimmerman story in Florida.
An off-duty police officer hits a child with his motorcycle. The child's cousin was also hit by the motorcycle. The police officer had to deliberately ditch his bike so as not to hit the child head on. After that the child's cousin began to attack the police officer, and a little later the child's father came charging out of a nearby restaurant and he too began beating on the police officer.
The officer said he identified himself and further, the child was barely injured during the mishap. The police officer felt it was either him or his attacker and so he pulled his gun and shot the child's father dead.

Moments after his motorcycle struck a 4-year-old girl, an off-duty Chicago Police officer shot and killed the girl’s irate father after he allegedly attacked the officer, the Chicago Sun Times reports.==================================================
Fraternal Order of Police Spokesman Pat Camden identified the officer as a 43-year-old veteran of the Chicago Police. The officer was headed home on Saturday evening when the horrifying incident occurred.
As he was driving home, the officer says he saw a child unexpectedly run into the street. In order not to strike the girl directly, the cop jumped off his motorcycle, pulling it down on its side on the pavement. However, the motorcycle skidded and flipped, hitting the 4-year-old girl and her 18-year-old cousin, John Passley.

I remember Frank Rizzo well. He was once police commissioner of Philadelphia then eventually became its Mayor.
He was considered very corrupt and now we learn that his daughter's apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Why Don't the Federal Employees Have to Pay Their Taxes?
WHERE THE HELL IS OUR CONGRESS?
Because so many federal employees don't pay their taxes as us private sector peons must. Because Libya starts a war and our executive branch tries to cover it up. Because the Attorney General sends weapons to Mexico that end up killing our border agents.
What happened to our system of checks and balances?
On July 31, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 828 — the “Federal Employee Tax Accountability Act of 2012.” It seeks to solve a problem that otherwise continues to be ignored.
This bill calls for the firing of federal workers who are income-tax deadbeats. However, military personnel and employees trying to work out their problems with the IRS would be exempt.
Chief sponsor Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said there were 102,794 federal employees who were delinquent with their federal taxes in 2004. That figure dropped only slightly to 98,291 in 2010 ... and it includes some 700 congressional employees.
The cost to taxpayers continues to soar, from just below $600 million in 2004 to more than $1 BILLION by 2010.
With 263 Representatives voting “YEA” to 114 “NAY,” H.R. 828 was sent to the Senate on August 1. Fifty-four apparently didn’t feel it was important enough to even vote.

You would think our senators would pass this bill in a heartbeat. After all, most Americans are acutely aware of our country’s soaring debt problem.
And during an election year, standing on the bully pulpit, shouting how you’re working to reclaim a billion dollars for honest, hardworking voters could help you keep that cushy job.
But several of our senators themselves have a big problem …
Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) said members and employees of the U.S. Senate alone owe over $2 million.
And an IRS report revealed this list of delinquent federal employees:
• 1,181 employees at the Treasury Department — $9.3 million
• Workers in the House of Representatives — $8.5 million
• Department of Education employees — $4.3 million
• Homeland Security — 4,697 workers owe about $37 million
• The Postal Service has the most offenders (25,640), owing almost $270 million
• Veterans Affairs — 11,659 workers owe the IRS $151 million
• Energy Department — 322 employees haven’t paid $5 million
• The Department of Justice has 2,069 employees who are nearly $17 million behind in taxes
• 91 workers at the Federal Reserve
• Nearly 6.5% of the employees at the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, which enforces ethics laws, had the worst compliance rate among federal agencies.
As you can see, many of these employees serve under the supervision of the president’s Cabinet.
Here Is the Most-Embarrassing Revelation of All …
Another report from the IRS reveals that 36 of President Obama’s executive office staff owe the country $833,970 in back taxes.
