Is This JFK's Son?
Well it could be a True Crime. Because this fellow exploded on the scene this past week, first published in a Canadian newspaper. I don't know much about him except his last name is Worthington. I have no links to any stories on the guy as I first came upon him in a FreeRepublic thread.
That thread lapsed into a senseless argument as there are always folks in this world who desperately WANT to believe something. Should another cast doubts on that belief, but of course we should kill the messenger.
As it would turn out, my own fine self was the messenger. But sheesh, several folks on the thread got all bent that I would dare apply logic.
First, this is not the first individual to claim John F. Kennedy Jr. as his biological father. Myself came of age during the era of JFK. I remember his assassination and the aftermath. During my adolescent years the National Enquirer every week had a picture of somebody claiming JFK was their father.
Now this fellow resembles JFK but first thing, note he isn't smiling or showing teeth. I suspect this is purposeful for the Kennedy are known far and wide for their very distinctive teeth.
This is not to say that this fellow might not have the Kennedy mouth and still have been fathered by JFK but you can believe that if Worthington did, in fact, have that distinctive Kennedy mouth he'd have a pic of himself smiling a huge toothy grin.
I also have grave doubts that a woman would have given birth to JFK's child and never said a word about it to anyone for her entire life. The argument against this assertion on the Freeper thread is that back in those days births out of wedlock were shameful things. Balderdash! Kennedy means money. She'd have gotten a regular check, I suspect, for even suggesting the child was JFK's, even if it WEREN'T...but could be. If you follow my logic. There weren't sophisticated DNA tests in those days but there were paternity tests of a fashion and there's that little biological fact of timing. If JFK COULD have fathered this child, more than likely somebody would have dealt with the matter. I really doubt a woman would have kept that information to herself all these years. Women just don't do that. Exceptions abound, I know, but this stretches my mind a bit too much.
This guy's mother allegedly never mentioned his true paternity until after the death of the man who he THOUGHT was his real father. THEN his mother told him the truth.
Uh-huh.
Finally, there's aspersions cast that this fellow is part of some book deal, a book that supposedly makes a case for JFK being assassinated by LBJ. This rumor is just that, a rumor, but it's been bandied widely about.
Well why don't the Kennedys just provide DNA for testing, or so goes the argument. For it's been asserted that the Kennedys have refused to provide DNA, which a brother of JFK could provide and the result would give a believable estimate as to the percentage of likelihood that this guy is, say, Ted Kennedy's nephew.
Heaven forbid I should defend the Kennedys, but this is just lose-lose for them. If they provide DNA and a test is done...whose to say the results would be reported accurately. Let's say that I declare JFK is my real father, Ted Kennedy gives me a DNA sample, I throw it away and produce, from Photoshop, a certificate stating that JFK is unequivocally my biological father? Well no, you might say, the Kennedys should get THIS guy's DNA and do a test! That way they can insure the accuracy of the result.
First, why? Just because this guy says JFK if his father the Kennedys should be undergoing all this bother? And even if they did and the results were negative, what's the first thing this Worthington will claim? But of course, the results were fabricated!
If the Kennedys ignore this crackpot then Mr. Worthington can claim that they are scared of the result. Folks will buy the book and Mr. Worthington makes bucks all based on his vague resemblance to JFK. Of course he needs the gullible to believe him, which would be you and I.
I've a local talk radio host who I truly despise. This story was his lead story this past week and right then and there I knew it had to be a scam.
This is a fellow who proclaimed that paper bags take 1400 years to compost in a landfill...that's PAPER folks, not PLASTIC. Obviously this fine radio fellow never had a paper bag get wet and fall apart on him right on the spot. Well I thought he made a verbal mistake and phoned in to correct him. He hung up on me on the air and said this is what happens to people who make the radio host look bad.
Well don't worry, everyone I spoke to who heard his claim about the paper bags thought he was a nut case.
So too is this Kennedy story a bunch of trumped up nonsense for the gullible.
More Saudi Justice for Their Beloved Females
Almost as remarkable as this story is for the substance, so too is it shocking that the United Nations' Human Rights Watch actually is taking a stand.
Now the fine members of the House of Saud, descendents of camels every one of them, are actually going to execute a woman for being a witch!
The woman was allegedly beaten until she confessed to her witchiness.
The charge against her, you'll never believe, is based on some sad slob of a Saudi male who can't get it up and so he blames this woman.

In a letter to King Abdallah, the group said that Fawza Falih had been beaten to extort a confession she later repudiated in court. The charge itself has no basis in Saudi law, the letter argued.

Illegal Immigrant Pleads Guilty to Murder of Adrienne Shelly
Covered on this Blog in November and December of 2006, Adrienne Shelly was in her home when she caught this fine fellow trying to rob her. He choked her to death then hung her body from a shower rod to make it look like a suicide.
He got 25 years for confessing. Doesn't seem like much for cutting short a life but I'm supposing that the confession got a conviction a trial without one might never have achieved.

In his courtroom confession, Diego Pillco, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador, recounted how he choked the wife and mother with a sheet, strung her body up from a shower rod and fled -- hoping to make the murder look like a suicide.
Fertile Bobby Cutts Verdict In
I covered the story of Bobby Cutts' amazing story of lethal elbows and bleach as revival fluid HERE. There's even a video of Cutt's ridiculous story at the Blog link provided.
The verdict came in late last week and to no one's surprise, the jury pronounced Cutts guilty of murder in the case of Jessie Davis and aggravated murder in the case of their unborn fetus. The jury evidently believed that Jessie's death might not have been premeditated, which could be. But that unborn child could have been saved. The decision to make no effort to save that baby was deliberate and could bring Cutts the death penalty.
Suspect Questioned in Lane Bryant Slayings
When this story was first reported it was hyped as a robbery gone awry. I always thought this was a bit much. For this fellow tied up five women, bound them with duct tape, threw their coats over their heads, and only when one of the victims managed to dial 911 did he begin shooting.
I think this fine fellow whose mother must be so proud of him was going to sexually assault those women much like the school house shooters from last year. For if it was but a robbery why not just grab the money and go?

His name is David Tarloff and per a Fox News report I chanced to watch, his family says they did everything to get him locked up for his own and the safety of others.
Babysitter Beats 4 Year Old to Death While Her Kids Hold Him Down
Her children were all under 11 and this maniac demands that they hold the child down while she systematically beat this boy to death.

MINNEAPOLIS - A woman beat her cousin's 4-year-old son to death while two of her own children held him down and a third watched, all because the boy soiled his pants, a prosecutor said Tuesday.
Carla Cherisse Poole, 37, is charged with second-degree intentional murder in the death of Demond Keith Reed, whose body was found wrapped in plastic and stuffed in a canvas bag during a police search of her home Sunday.
The poor child had something repeatedly shoved in his mouth, had BITE marks on him, and his brain was bleeding.
The kid's father turned the kid over to this woman after he went to jail. The "fathers" of Poole’s four children were all notified.
Sheesh.
Twin Kills His Identical Twin Brother
This is quite a confusing story. The identical twins were Derris and Dennis Lewis. Derris, the alleged perp, was living with his girlfriend for the past three years, odd for a kid in high school.
Either a group, or one, robber broke into the Lewis home and held a gun to Mrs. Lewis, who would be the twins' mother. Dennis rushed to defend his mother and was shot and killed.

Investigators allege they have proof dead positive that Derris was in the house that day of the robbery. Beyond that, the story and players gets confusing.
It sounds as if there was no intent to shoot anybody but somebody died.
Derris must be so proud of himself, killing his identical twin brother.
Illinois Shooter and His Story Still Baffles
You get a nut case, the nut case goes off his meds, the nut case gets a gun and shoots a bunch of innocent people.
How on earth is there anything to prevent this?

You say stricter gun control will stop this? Dream on. Once upon a time Americans bought this liberal nonsense but notice please that even with the spate of these sorts of shootings over the past three years, not one politico has introduced any legislation to tighten up the gun laws in response.

Man Stabbed to Death With His Own Knife
I'm a big believer in bravery and self-defense. But Matthew Edblom crossed the line between bravery and idiocy.
He goes, in mid of night, over to a house where he knows drugs are being dealt. He takes with him just a knife. A short time later, Matthew Edblom is dead, stabbed to death with his own pathetic weapon.

OJ Simpson Girlfriend Hospitalized
We don’t know what the truth is here but this nut case Christie Prody, alleged drunk always falling all over the place, and OJ Simpson, make quite the pair.
Someday something’s going to happen to this woman. We all know it.
Supposedly Prody’s head injuries were caused by a fall.
Anything’s possible, but to have a so-called “severe head injury” from a fall at a gas station of all places, it’s not like the woman fell out of a ten story building, is odd as all get out.

In May of 2005, Natalee Holloway, a recent graduate just barely of age, joined some of her school mates on a much-anticipated graduation trip to the island paradise of Aruba.
Came the time to fly back home, Natalee was nowhere to be found.
The last time Natalee was seen she was leaving with three locals, one Deepak Kalpoe and his brother Satish. Also along was Joran Vandersloot, a local kid known to frequent Aruba's night spots trolling for pretty American girls.
For two and a half year the Aruban and Dutch investigators fooled around with this case, "arresting" many suspects, including those three Aruban brats, then letting them go.
Suddenly, in November of 2007 Joran and the Kalpoe brothers are arrested. An announcement by Aruban authorities came with news of the arrests that "new and incriminating" evidence had been found.
